Calvert K-9 Search Team is an all volunteer, not-for-profit organization. We provide fully equipped, highly trained and nationally certified search dog teams, search personnel and search management personnel utilizing the latest technology aids to find lost or missing people. We respond to the Maryland Department of Natural Resources Police and Maryland Law Enforcement Agencies for use in Southern

Maryland counties. Calvert K-9 Search Team trains year round and in all weather to maintain and enhance our professional-level search and rescue services; additionally we provide safety education to the local community, including the nationally recognized Hug-a-Tree program.

Yesterday was a gorgeous day for our Spring BBQ! We enjoy sharing our appreciation for each other and the family members that support us in all we do. Great food, fantastic friends, and friendly competition in the form of yard games. Thank you everyone for making the day a success!

Another great training day today. The team members who participated in a successful missing persons search last year were given folders from Prince George’s County Police Department containing a Memorandum detailing the incident.

We had a couple of members from NRP flanking teams Echo and Gabe today to see more about how the dogs operate, it was really great to meet you!

Also sharing a couple of pictures from the Chiefs’ Award Ceremony a couple of our members attended Wednesday.

Yesterday CK-9 attended the 2nd annual Tails on the Trails Fun Fest at Kings Landing Park in Huntingtown, MD. The dogs all enjoyed doing demonstrations with so many amazing subjects, and getting all of the wonderful pets and playtime.
Thank you to all who came by the tent, we appreciate being able to share what we do, the impact our dogs make in searches, and to get to know more people in our community.
A huge thank you to the Humane Society of Calvert County for organizing the event and for the gift bags! Thank you Pawstries Pet Bakery for the REALLY yummy treats! Us people were thinking they smelled great!
K-9 Echo says thank you to Huntingtown Volunteer Fire Department for bringing Sparky the Fire Dog by, she’s pretty sure she found a new friend!

CK-9 had a great time at the Spring Craft Fair at Huntingtown High School today! We had 7 K-9s there to meet everyone as we talked about what search and rescue dogs do for the community. Thank you to everyone who came up and said hello, played with the dogs, and participated in short demos! We all enjoyed meeting you!

CK-9 had a great training this Sunday! While at training Team Echo completed their 40 acre area search test and Team Shankar completed their 60 acre area search test and is now locally operational. Congratulations to teams Echo and Shankar !!!
