The Garden Club of Montclair is a local garden club in Prince William County, Virginia. We meet monthly and hold a plant sale each year as a fundraiser.

Our monthly meetings include field trips, informative speakers, flower arranging workshops, and luncheons.

The Garden Club enjoyed a beautiful day exploring the lovely Green Spring Gardens in Alexandria! 🌿🌸 Perfect weather, a fascinating guided tour, and plenty of beautiful gardens made for a wonderful outing. We wrapped up the day with a delicious lunch and good conversation at Silverado’s. A delightful day of gardening, friendship, and fun! 🌼

Our next event will be a guided tour of the Green Spring Gardens in Alexandria on October 21. The tour of this 31-acre site will include an overview of the mission and historic legacy of the gardens. We will meet at the Country Club at 9:15 am to form carpools. Lunch will follow at Silverado in Annandale. Cost is $20 per person payable to our treasurer, Susan. Please RSVP to Susan or Martina if you'd like to attend.

Florence and Martina recently represented our club at the National Capital Area Garden Clubs State Flower Show at the National Arboretum. Entitled Shining Through the Years: A 75th Anniversary Celebration, it commemorated the State's 75th anniversary as a National Garden Club member.

Congratulations to Cecilia for her arrangement and Florence's photo entry which both received State level Honorable Mentions. Here are some of the beautiful entries.

What started as an overcast and chilly morning turned into a lovely day for the Garden Club’s tour of Oatlands. The skies cleared, and we enjoyed a rain-free visit, followed by a delicious Italian lunch indoors. While a few members carpooled on their own, the rest of us comfortably fit into two cars for the drive.

It was a wonderful day of exploring, enjoying good food, and spending time together. We’re already looking forward to returning in the spring to see the gardens in bloom and explore more of the hiking trails!

Join us on Tuesday, August 18, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Montclair Community Library for a fun summer gathering!

🥗 Summer Salad Potluck Lunch – Bring your favorite salad to share.
🌿 Plant Exchange – Bring a plant or two to swap with fellow garden enthusiasts.
✌️ ‘70s Groovy Garden Attire – Break out your best flower-power, tie-dye, or other groovy garden look!

Lunch will be followed by a business meeting with updates on all our many activities. Please RSVP to Andrea and let her know if you plan to attend.

At our June Garden Club meeting, we gathered at a member's home to admire her gardens, offer landscaping suggestions, and exchange creative ideas. A delicious potluck lunch and lively conversation rounded out a wonderful afternoon.
