October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month.
Your voice matters. Your feelings matter. Your safety matters.
You deserve relationships with family, friends, and dating partners where you feel safe, valued, and respected.
Love should give you room to grow, express yourself, and be who you are. Hurting, threatening, humiliating, or controlling someone is never a healthy way to show love.
Be a young leader who chooses kindness, respects boundaries, and understands that “no” deserves respect and means exactly that “NO”!
Your words and actions can help others feel seen and supported.
If you experience or witness abuse, it is not your fault, and it is not your responsibility to fix it. Reach out to a trusted adult, teacher, counselor, or youth mentor. If the first person does not help, keep reaching out. You deserve support.
Say it with confidence:
“I am worthy of respect. My boundaries matter. I can ask for help. I deserve to feel safe.”
