Institute on the Constitution teaches Americans through a variety of courses based on our Founding Fathers’ Biblical, Constitutional, American View of law and government. IOTC currently conducts three live courses at our Pasadena, Maryland location. Two of them are twelve sessions in length while "The Jury Course" is six sessions. Typically, a lecture is presented, followed by a review of the mate

rial with adequate time provided for student questions and interaction. In most cases, some homework is suggested in order to broaden and deepen the students understanding of the subject matter covered. Often, courses are held in other locations across America, where video presentations may take the place of the lecture while a designated “Host” leads the class through the same format as the live classes. Constitution Course available, where students from around the country can take the course from home and interact with instructors through a facebook group or via email. Courses currently available are: U.S. Constitution, Duty of the Jury, The Sheriff and the Citizen, The Truth of America's Founding: Your Heritage and Mine, and Maryland Constitution Course. Stay tuned as more courses become available! We have already seen that this program has gained very quick traction and acceptance in many communities. We very much appreciate those who have participated and those who have acted as hosts. Please continue to send us your comments and suggestions on how we can make it better. We see this as a grassroots effort to recover our Constitutional heritage!

The division and destruction of the American way of life coming from a 2 party system is heartbreaking. It makes me wonder if more parties, thoughts, policies, etc. were discussed and at the forefront…would there be less tribal division? One has to wonder, if we all grew up listening to 5 or more different political viewpoints, would we be more open to listening, thinking things through, analyzing, and researching everything? Would we even be more open to differing viewpoints within our own party?

Just a thought. You do you all think?

I’m a Declarationist. Why? What is that?

It’s the belief and practice of these 3 statements called “The American View” of law and government found in the Declaration of Independence,

1. There is a God, the God of the Bible
2. Our rights come from Him
3. The purpose of government is to secure our God-given rights.

On these self-evident truths, our nation developed the ideals that have carried us for over 250 years, and was the seedbed for our Constitution.

Without these principles, our system of government is worthless since we need self governance to keep our laws.
