Team Tuesday Friends of CASA style ๐Ÿฉต

Meet Sarah Batton! She is originally from Southern Indiana. She has been married to her husband Jody Batton for 24 years, and they have 1 son Damien who attends UNOH in Ohio. They have two pups one is retired K-9 Shelby and the others name is Charlie. Mrs. Sarah is the Homestead Child Development Center director here in Stewart County. She has worked and been a part of their team since they opened in 2011. One fun fact about Mrs Sarah is that she loves photography, baking and being with her family. Her family is and will always be one of the greatest things she has ever done in life.

We asked Mrs Sarah why CASA was important to her. She states " CASA is very important me, I love children and always have. Being a friend of CASA allows me to help support those who are volunteering their time to help support kids in need. I have seen this community step up to help those in need and what better way to help, then to help our youth. Unfortunately, sometimes childrenโ€™s voices arenโ€™t heard like they should be and our advocates do just that, be their voices. We have to protect our children and help them grow to be successful adults. I joined friends of CASA to help be a support system for the advocates and to always be here for children no matter what their need is."
If you have considered joining CASA in some way Mrs Sarah has a little word for you! "If you want to feel part of something big, you should join friends of CASA or become an advocate. What better way to help your community than to help our kids in this community."

We thank you Mrs Sarah for all of your hard work and dedication to this organization and to the children in our community! We appreciate you so much! ๐Ÿฉต

๐Ÿก ITโ€™S OFFICIAL โ€” THE BRIGHAM CENTER HAS A HOME! ๐Ÿ’™

Today, CASA of the Highland Rim โ€“ Stewart County officially closed on 1225 Spring Street, the future home of The Brigham Center for Children, Youth & Families.

We were surrounded today by officers of Juvenile Court, our town and county mayors, commissioners, community leaders, attorneys, DCS staff, law enforcement, friends, family, and so many others as we took this incredible step forward.

Our prayer is simple: May this place be a blessing to our entire community.

The Brigham Center will be a place for family stability and strengthening through parenting classes, counseling, supervised visitation, support for grandparents and relatives raising children, trauma recovery, temporary housing for children awaiting placement, connections to community resources, and so much more.

There is still much work ahead, but today we celebrate what is possible when a community comes together for children and families.

The deed may say CASA, but this facility is dedicated to building a brighter Stewart County for ALL. ๐Ÿ’™

๐Ÿ‘€ Be on the lookout for an upcoming Open House and opportunities to volunteer and be part of The Brigham Center!

There will be a place for our community to come alongside this missionโ€”because we are strongest when we work together.

๐Ÿ‹๐Ÿ’› When life gives you lemons, help a child find hope. ๐Ÿ’›๐Ÿ‹

Today is National Lemonade Day, a reminder that something sweet can come from life's sour moments.

Many of the children served by CASA have faced challenges no child should ever have to experience. While we can't erase the hardships they've endured, we can help them find hope, stability, and the support they need to move forward.

Our CASA volunteers stand beside children during some of the most difficult chapters of their lives, helping ensure they have a voice and someone who will never stop advocating for their best interests.

This National Lemonade Day, consider how you can help turn life's lemons into something brighter for a child in our community. Whether you volunteer, donate, or simply share our mission, your support helps create a sweeter future for children who need it most.

๐Ÿ‹ Every child deserves hope.
๐Ÿ’™ Every child deserves an advocate.

Today is National Nonprofit Day!๐Ÿ’™

Nonprofits exist because communities believe that every person deserves hope, support, and the opportunity to thrive. At CASA, that belief is at the heart of everything we do.

Every day, CASA volunteers speak up for children who have experienced abuse or neglect, ensuring their voices are heard and their best interests remain the priority in the courtroom and beyond.

But our mission isn't possible without you.

To our dedicated volunteers, generous donors, community partners, and every person who shares our missionโ€”**thank you**. Your compassion helps change the trajectory of a child's life.

Today, we celebrate the power of nonprofit organizations and the incredible communities that make their work possible. Together, we are creating brighter futuresโ€”one child, one advocate, and one act of kindness at a time.

If you've ever wondered how you can make a difference, today is the perfect day to get involved. Volunteer, donate, advocate, or share our mission. Every action matters, and every child deserves someone in their corner. ๐Ÿ’™
