9.12.2026. Dover American Legion Riders Chapter 72 met at the Legion Family home for light snacks and a safety brief. We stopped at Miss Kay's Country Store & Nutcracker Shed for lunch, where Mari (Junior Unit 72 Auxiliary Member-Don and Sylvia's granddaughter) won the $100 prize and she donated it back to Riders 72. We rode to Darkhorse Lodge and linked up with Legion Riders Chapter 77 from Lexington. They departed and Gretchen gave some of us a tour of the facilities, plus a place to cool off and get some ice water. Legion Riders made a donation to Darkhorse Lodge and thanked them for all they do for veterans. We lined up and everyone headed home. What a great day for a ride, lunch, fellowship, and assisting a Veterans support organization.
