Today’s ExecCONNECT was a full house with more than 30 nonprofits represented!

Jessica Walker Steltenpohl with the Dothan Area Chamber of Commerce led an excellent session on maximizing fundraising effectiveness, giving attendees practical ideas and strategies to strengthen their fundraising efforts.

We’re grateful for another opportunity to bring nonprofit leaders together to learn, connect, and grow.

We had a great time at our latest ExecCONNECT workshop featuring Libby Glasgow!

Libby shared incredibly valuable insight and important updates surrounding HR law for nonprofits, giving our nonprofit leaders practical knowledge they can take back to their organizations and teams immediately. These conversations are so important as we continue to strengthen and support the nonprofit community across the Wiregrass.

We’re grateful for everyone who took the time to participate, engage, ask questions, and learn alongside us. And a special thank you to Libby for sharing her expertise and helping equip our nonprofit leaders to better serve our community!

What a great start to the 2026 ExecCONNECT workshop series! Executive Coach Fran LaMattina guided us through an insightful conversation on volunteerism, from turning volunteers into mission partners to appreciating and sustaining those who give their time.

We also celebrated several nonprofit directors who completed a speech training session with Savannah Granberry of Wallace Community College. Their newfound confidence in sharing their organization’s story will benefit our entire community.

We were honored to kickoff another year of CapCONNECT with an inspiring message from Liz Huntley! With more than 100 people in the room representing over 30 nonprofits, the energy, collaboration, and shared commitment to service were truly powerful. It was an encouraging reminder of what is possible when leaders come together with a common purpose to strengthen our community!

Earlier this month, ExecCONNECT had the privilege of learning from Representative Paul Lee about navigating government funding. We are especially grateful for his leadership as Executive Director of Wiregrass Rehabilitation Center - WRC and the impact he makes right here in Dothan, AL! His commitment to strengthening and supporting our nonprofit community is invaluable, and we are thankful for the opportunity to learn from him.
