Kyle brings an incredible blend of experience in hospitality, education, and community building, along with a deep love for the Driftless Area. From connecting people to meaningful places through her work at Taliesin Preservation to supporting Wisconsin’s local food economy through Wander Provisions, Kyle has spent her career creating experiences that bring people together.

At DALC, Kyle will lead events and programs at Wintergreen, helping create meaningful opportunities for people to connect with the land, learn about conservation, and build community. Her experience creating welcoming spaces, leading events, and managing a mission-driven business brings valuable insight as DALC grows programming at Wintergreen. Through her work, Wintergreen will continue to evolve as a welcoming destination where people can gather, explore, and experience the rugged wild beauty of the Driftless Area.

Help care for one of Wisconsin’s beautiful native prairie remnants during Invasive Species Awareness Weekend!

Join DALC's Easement Stewardship Manager, Shannon Roznoski, and York Prairie volunteers near New Glarus to remove invasive herbaceous weeds and support this valuable State Natural Area. No experience is necessary—just bring your enthusiasm and willingness to lend a hand!

This volunteer event is part of the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources' Invasive Species Awareness Weekend, a statewide effort to protect native habitats and biodiversity. Thank you to everyone who joined us for Evening Afield: The Great Wisconsin Bat Count Kickoff!

Together, we explored the fascinating world of Wisconsin’s bats and learned how community science efforts like the Great Wisconsin Bat Count help monitor bat populations and support conservation across the state. It was a wonderful evening of discovery, connection, and stewardship in the Driftless Area.

For over a decade, bats have quietly been part of the landscape at Taliesin, and this summer we are taking a closer look at what is happening right above us🦇🌙

Join bat biologists for the property’s first comprehensive bat emergence count as we observe and document bats leaving their historic building roosts at dusk. While overwintering bats have been monitored here for years, this survey focuses on the species that rely on Taliesin’s buildings during the summer months for day roosting.

Your participation will help guide future bat monitoring and conservation efforts and inform planned building projects that could affect these important roost sites. Many pairs of eyes are needed across the property, and together we can better understand and care for these remarkable nocturnal neighbors.
