Hear me out….

Sauté some green beans in sesame oil. Throw in some diced tomatoes and shish*to peppers with a sprinkle of garlic salt.

Simple. Healthy. And so much flavor.

I’m pretty sure Anthony Bourdain is looking down on the farm, smoking a cigarette, and giving a subtle nod of the head.

Over the weekend the farm had the pleasure of hosting Moped Brothers vintage moped rally. Moped enthusiasts across the Midwest camped, exchanged stories, and bonded over a common love for these unique bikes. The group took a scenic drive through Chelsea, Pinckney, Dexter, and Hell, making multiple stops to enjoy local food and ice cream.

Note: we stopped at gas stations more than anything given how small the gas tanks are!

Huge shoutout to the club for letting me borrow a bike for the ride. This was a really fun group to host and it was a blast to see them explore our great communities and support local businesses.

Zucchini and squash are slowing down but the tomatoes and green beans are in full production mode. Honey is restocked as well. Happy Sunday!

Over the last few weeks I have been polling Dexter young adults to see if they like zucchini bread. Specifically zucchini bread made with my grandmother’s recipe. It was my favorite treat growing up and I was curious to see if it still holds up. Based on the responses I’m pretty sure it still does.

As an homage to my amazing grandmother I have posted the recipe for any that want to try it out for themselves. Enjoy!

Tomatoes, eggplant, zucchini, honey, peppers , and green beans are restocked. Green beans last about two days before I pull them and eat them myself, so get em while they are available.
