🚨 Colorado, we need your help! 🚨

This weekend, volunteers with Protect Colorado’s Future will be across the state collecting signatures to put a graduated income tax (GIT) on the ballot this fall.

The proposal would:
βœ… Cut taxes for 97% of Coloradans making less than $500,000 a year
βœ… Ask the wealthiest Coloradans to pay a little more
βœ… Generate nearly $2 billion for K-12 education, child care, and health care

You can find us at events across Colorado, including:

πŸ³οΈβ€πŸŒˆ Boulder Pridefest
πŸ³οΈβ€πŸŒˆ Adams County Pride

πŸ“£ We want to take a moment to uplift one of our community partners doing important work to advance a stronger, more equitable fiscal future for Colorado.

The Cash for Coloradans Coalition has launched a brand-new website and a suite of tools designed to help advocates, community organizations, and partners stay connected, share resources, and move this work forward together.

Be sure to check it out at cashforcoloradans.org and explore the resources they've built for Coloradans across the state.

A special shoutout to Jourdan McGinn, the coalition's Steering Committee, and the Narrative Change Working Group for helping bring this project to life. πŸŽ‰

Hi friends, we're here, we're there, we're everywhere this weekend. Find us and help us get 195 on the ballot in November. Raise taxes on the richest 3% of earners in the state, cut taxes for everyone else, raise new revenue for health care, public schools and child care. You can help make Colorado more affordable and fairer.

We’re out around the state this weekend collecting signatures! Check out our website to find locations near you! https://protectcoloradosfuture.com/where-to-sign/

πŸš‚πŸŒ²πŸ”οΈ What kind of Colorado do you want to see in 2076?

Last year, the Colorado Fiscal Institute and Reimagine Colorado traveled across the state, inviting Coloradans to imagine a future worth working toward. People shared visions of affordable high-speed rail, thriving communities, protected access to the outdoors, and a future where technology serves the public good.

Now, Vision 2076 is entering its next phase.

Together, we're launching a new online platform where anyone in Colorado can share their vision for the future, explore ideas from people across the state, and help shape a conversation about where we're headed together.

No matter your age, background, language, or ZIP code, your voice belongs in this conversation.

Take a few minutes to add your vision and see what others are imagining for Colorado's future.

πŸ”—

Colorado is deciding its future. Add your voice to a statewide conversation about the next fifty years β€” it takes five minutes.

We had a blast at the legislative wrap-up last night, where we were honored to receive the Mountain Mover Award. πŸ”οΈπŸ†

We’re proud to stand with so many advocates working to move Colorado forward for women and families.

Also, not to brag, but the award looks pretty great in our office. πŸ’œ

This past weekend, Paid Leave for All hosted a film preview in Denver with Congresswoman Brittany Pettersen and partners from across the paid leave movement. 🎬

The event celebrated Colorado becoming the first state in the nation to adopt a generous NICU benefit, making sure parents can be with their newborns during some of the most stressful and uncertain moments a family can face.

Rep. Pettersen is now working to bring that same protection to more families by adding NICU leave to federal unpaid FMLA protections.

It was a meaningful way to mark Mother’s Day weekend and celebrate the advocates, lawmakers, and community leaders fighting for working families. πŸ’œ

Medicaid cuts hurt people. They hurt families, clinics, and entire communities.

This week, Coloradans made that message impossible to ignore.

Some shared their stories in conference rooms with a U.S. senator. Others stood in the cold rain outside clinics that could be forced to scale back or close.

The Week of Action may be ending, but this fight is far from over.

We’ll keep speaking out until every Coloradan can get the care they need.
