Let’s play a little game of comparison. 🍺

We held that stein for 97 seconds to represent the 97% of Coloradans who would get a tax cut under Amendment 87.

Then came the 3% who would pay more. Blink and you’ll miss it.

Some folks are calling this the “biggest tax hike in Colorado history.” Interesting way to describe a tax cut for 97% of the state, but somehow, the 3% always gets top billing. 🤔

We brought the nonalcoholic b**r. You bring your ballot. Vote YES on 87.

🚨 Don’t be duped.

The only seniors or veterans who could pay more under Amendment 87 are those with enough taxable income to reach the higher brackets above $500,000. Period. 💰

Everyone below that threshold gets a tax cut. ✂️

Amendment 87 does not suddenly start taxing Social Security, pensions, or military retirement income that Colorado already excludes. If it wasn’t taxable before, Amendment 87 doesn’t make it taxable. ✅

9NEWS (KUSA) “The state’s nonpartisan legislative council staff estimates that 3.4M Coloradans would pay less in income tax, while 64K would pay more. That 64K is fewer than the number of people who can fit in Mile High Stadium. Collectively, those 64K would pay about $2.5 billion more in taxes.”

Chris broke down the 14 statewide ballot measures, what key proposals could mean for Colorado schools and communities, and what districts should be watching as Election Day approaches.
