Saving Livy Cat Rescue

🐾🖤 Sunday Night Cuteness, Courtesy of Saving Livy! 🤍🐾

Sunday nights are for getting cozy, preparing for another busy week, and, of course, enjoying some adorable kitty faces! 🐈‍⬛🍂

As another weekend comes to an end, we wanted to share a little happiness from some of our sweet rescue babies. Between those precious little faces, curious eyes, and adorable personalities, how could anyone have the Sunday scaries with these cuties around?! 🥹❤️

While most people are winding down for the evening, rescue never really stops. There are always mouths to feed, litter boxes to clean, medications to give, and little lives depending on us.

As we head into another week, we’re reminded just how grateful we are for everyone who continues to support our mission. Whether you’ve adopted, fostered, donated, shared a post, or simply cheered us on, you’re helping us give these babies the futures they deserve.

Here’s to another week of rescuing, recovering, rehabilitating, and finding forever homes! 🐾

🐾 We’re officially accepting volunteers! 🖤

Saving Livy Cat Rescue is growing, and we could use some extra hands both behind the scenes and in person!

This is a great opportunity for high school students who need volunteer or community service hours, college students, animal lovers, or anyone who wants to use their time and skills to help cats in need.

And the best part? A lot of our volunteer opportunities can be done completely online from home! 💻🐱

Remote volunteers can help with things like social media, creating posts and graphics, sharing adoptable cats, fundraising, researching resources, online outreach, organizing information, and other administrative rescue tasks.

For those who prefer to volunteer in person, we may also have opportunities involving cleaning and organizing, socializing cats, adoption events, sorting donations and supplies, and helping with other rescue needs.

Whether you need service hours for school, want to build volunteer experience, or simply want to give back, there are plenty of ways to help, even from your couch!

Interested in volunteering? Send us a message with a little about yourself, your availability, whether you need volunteer hours, and whether you’re interested in remote, in-person, or both. 🖤

Not interested in volunteering but still want to help? Donations are always incredibly appreciated! Every donation helps us cover veterinary care, medications, food, litter, spay/neuter services, supplies, and emergency care for the cats who come through our rescue.

Even a few dollars makes a difference and helps us continue to rescue, recover, rehab, rehome… and repeat. 🐾

Meet Lock, Shock & Barrel 🐾

Our little trio is growing up, and two of them are officially ready to start looking for their forever homes. 💚

**Lock** is the gray and white boy. He is sweet, gentle, and affectionate once he feels comfortable. He can be a little shy if something startles him, but he settles in quickly. He is also a major foodie and loves wet food, dry food, and treats.

**Shock** is the orange and white boy. He is a total little ham who loves attention and is not afraid to ask for pets. He is still learning to enjoy being picked up, but he is more than happy to soak up affection on his own terms. He is also very food motivated and loves just about anything edible.

**Barrel** is the calico girl. She is their sister, but she is not quite ready to start looking for her forever home yet. She is **not currently listed on our adoption page**, so be on the lookout for her once she is ready. 💕

Lock and Shock are both 3 months old, fully litter trained, sweet, playful, and ready to meet potential families.

They do not have to be adopted together, but if someone falls in love with both, we definitely would not complain. 🥹

🐾 AS PROMISED… HERE’S OUR FIRST SET OF NEW ADOPTABLES! 🖤🤍

We told you we had some babies getting fixed and getting ready for adoption, and now it’s finally time to start introducing them! 🎉

First up: Gin & Tonic! 🍸🐾

These two just got fixed and are officially one step closer to finding their Livy Ever After. 🏡❤️

🤍 GIN
Gin is an adorable tuxedo girl with the sweetest little milk mustache. She loves to play and enjoys being petted once she knows she can trust you. When she’s happy and ready for some love, she even makes the cutest little happy noises. 🥹

She can be a little skittish at first, but she’s becoming more comfortable every day. Give her some patience and gentle affection, and her sweet, playful personality starts shining through.

🖤 TONIC
Tonic is our handsome black boy with plenty of playful energy. He loves exploring, playing, back scratches, and even a good belly rub once he’s comfortable!

He’s still learning to trust, so you may occasionally get a little nervous hiss when he’s unsure. 😂 Don’t let him fool you! He’s just figuring out that people are safe. Give him time, and you’ll start seeing the sweet, silly boy underneath.

Gin & Tonic are looking for families who understand that sometimes the BEST cats just need a little time to realize they’re finally safe. ❤️

And this is only our first introduction! We have more newly fixed babies to show you, so keep watching our page. 👀🐱

One step closer to recovery. 💚🐾

Nia is officially another step closer to getting back on her feet. 🥹 While she is still taking things slowly, resting, and focusing on recovery, we wanted to take a moment to say thank you.

We’ve seen all of your comments, messages, check-ins, and words of encouragement. Even if Nia hasn’t been able to respond to everyone personally, please know that every single one is seen, appreciated, and felt. 🫶🏼

Recovery takes time, and we’re letting her body set the pace. In the meantime, the rescue continues doing what we do best, caring for the babies who need us and working toward lots of Livy Ever Afters. 🐱💕

Thank you for continuing to love and support Nia and the entire Saving Livy family through all of it. One day, one milestone, and one step at a time. 💚
