Excited to be able to finally share this! Scott and I were asked to be on a Donor Family Council two years ago to help Lifeline of Ohio serve their Donor Families. We are honored to be a small part of the launching of this beautiful project to honor our Hero of Donation....

This is a permanent space to honor your Hero of Donation and to share memories.

It's DASH Day!! Today is a day to honor all Organ, Eye, and Tissue Donors, their recipients and those desperately waiting for a lifesaving transplant. Today we remember Macy and wish her recipients health and happiness.

We are no where near our fundraising goal, so if it seems like the right time to make a donation, we would appreciate it. All funds go towards assisting Donor Families like us honor their Donor Hero.

Today is Macy day...the anniversary of her death. But this one hits much harder. Ten long years of not watching her grow into an adult with Mack. Ten long years of not watching her be a big sister to Laynie and Kinley. Ten long years without her voice and her bubbly energy, and hugs.

Those of you that knew her, loved her, are inspired by her, love us, or know and love her organ recipients. There are so many things that brought Macy joy. If you are so inclined, please hold Macy in your heart and participate in one or all of these activities today.

🍫 *Eat ALL the chocolate

🍨 *Head to your nearest soft serve ice cream spot and order it "Macy style" - Chocolate ice cream in a cup. Feel free to add hot fudge, sprinkles, and whipped cream. Anyone local to Delaware, she loved Dari Point.

🏊‍♀️ *Go swimming and take at least one trip down the fastest water slide with your hands in the air

🏃‍♀️ *Run- but do it with a big smile on your face

🎶🎤💃🤸‍♀️ *Sing at the top of your lungs and dance around. Do as many cartwheels in a row as you can... At least 40. (kidding, but she has done it before)

🍔🐔 *Eat at one of her favorite places - Red Robin , Jason's Deli, Chick-fil-A

🥎⚽ *Play softball or soccer

Scott and I presented scholarships earlier this month. The Macy Meadows Memorial Scholarship for Grief and Loss was presented to Gianna from Olentangy Berlin High School. The Macy Meadows Memorial Scholarship for Learning Differences was presented to Owen at Rutherford B. Hayes High School. (Unfortunately, Delaware does not take formal pictures, so we do not have a picture to share with you.) Each recipient received $2,500!

These scholarships were created as a way to continue Macy's Legacy and to share her Hope, Love and Joy with the world. We can't do this without the support of our Mighty Macy Family.

Ok friends... This is my last plea for help. Macy's Birthday Blood Drive is Saturday and we have so many spots to fill!

I know it's cold. I know you're tired. So are we. We are exhausted by the fact that Macy has now spent more birthdays away from us than she did with us. Mack is celebrating yet another birthday without his twin. The Meadows Family is in the process of moving, but we are taking a day to save lives in Macy's honor.
