The current pathway of freshwater management in Florida is unsustainable. Period.

In order for our children to enjoy a healthy St. Johns River, we must push for meaningful change. Improved water quality, reduced pollution and improved habitat.

Mighty River Recovery was formed to end the decline of the St. Johns River and demand a new way forward. We're making progress, but need your help.

Our input gets to the point❗

Public comment to the St. Johns River Water Management District just ended - and many of you followed our lead with online input recommending the District consider the impacts of herbicide spraying.

Our data proves it: nothing is impacting nutrient pollution in the St. Johns faster than spraying 💯.

It's time our regulatory agencies view this practice for what it is and begin managing accordingly.

A draft of the plan for the St. Johns River's Middle Basin is available online, and the St. Johns River Water Management District wants to hear from you!

A primary focus of the District is to reduce nutrient pollution for this stretch of the river.

But despite looking into solutions ➡ nowhere is the biggest contributor addressed⬅

Our data proves: nothing adds more nutrient pollution, more quickly to our waters than the use of aquatic herbicides. 💯

If we want to TRULY address nutrient pollution, we can no longer ignore this issue.

Use this chance to voice your concerns. Tell the SJRWMD that you want attention given to this issue. Advocate to reduce herbicide spraying and begin removing nutrients through the removal of plants.
