LCC continues to highlight "Dos Eppi's" for the Latino owned business spotlight of the month.

📖The Story behind the Business📖

Born and raised in Defiance, Ricardo was inspired to become a chef by his mother, Antonia. A legendary cook known for preparing meals for countless latino events. Her impact on the community was so meaningful that she was inducted into the Defiance Hall of Fame for her contributions.
Antonia moved from Puerto Rico at the age of 16 and later met and married Epifanio, who was of Mexican descent from the Rio Grand Valley . Their story and cultural roots became the inspiration behind the menu at Dos Eppi’s, something Ricardo proudly carries on today.
Ricardo began his culinary journey by attending culinary school in New York City while commuting from Long Island. One of his proudest accomplishments is celebrating 24 years in business. Over the years, the restaurant has changed locations, helping inspire the name “Dos Eppi’s.”
Ricardo credits much of his success to kindness and building genuine connections with people. Guests can often find him walking through the restaurant, checking in personally to make sure the food and service are always up to par.
