This past weekend 10 Zontians were in attendance at the district conference in Mount Sterling, Ohio. A truly beautiful location. Close to 60 women met to learn about our future, what clubs are doing to grow members and fundraise to help our communities, our state, nation and world.

💜International Day of the Girl | October 11th 💜

Today, we celebrate girls and their potential and recognize the importance of creating a world where every girl feels safe, supported, healthy, and empowered.

Through education, advocacy, service, and community programs, Zonta Club of Defiance is proud to support girls and women in our community.

Here’s to creating a community where every girl has the opportunity to grow, thrive, and reach her full potential. 💜

Our annual luncheon was held on October 1st. The funds raised went towards funding our TNT(Tools Needed Through Transformation) for women fighting breast cancer and other women’s health needs in our community.

Since the luncheon, 5 TNT bags have been given out. Four were shipped - 2 in Ohio, 1 to North Carolina and 1 to Alaska.

Last night, Zonta Club of Defiance partnered with Justice for Sierah and Defiance College for a self-defense course for high school and college students in our community.

Participants learned practical self-defense techniques, practiced new skills, and built confidence in how to respond in difficult situations.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and made the evening such a great experience! We're proud to offer opportunities like this that help women feel more confident, prepared, and empowered. 💜

We've had a few people reach out after our Annual Luncheon for Women's Health, saying that they weren't able to grab photos of the resource slides during Dr. Watts' presentation. So, we wanted to share them here! 💗

Dr. Watts shared some helpful resources throughout her presentation, including her contact information, other local providers to consider, as well as books and other resources for those who want to learn more about hormones, health, and living well.

A special thank you to Dr. Watts again for sharing her knowledge and resources with us! We hope these will continue to be helpful long after the luncheon! 💗

Showing up to support our communities is what we do best🩷. It was a busy morning with Zontians at two local events.

Zonta, Defiance Fire & Rescue, the City of Defiance along with the American Red Cross participated in the first Smoke Detector Neighborhood Blitz to give & install smoke detectors to promote fire safety. Over 50 smoke detectors were distributed to 75 households.

Zonta showed up to walk for NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) at Northwest State Community College.
