Sadly, it is very dangerous to be a Christian in Uganda. We have stayed and traveled thru Mbale many times. Please pray for the persecuted Christian’s in other countries.

🚨HEARTBREAKING: A young Christian pastor in Uganda was killed just hours after taking part in a public debate where two Muslim women reportedly converted to Christianity.

Pastor Bernard Mulongo, 25, traveled to Mbale on July 18 for an open-air Christian-Muslim dialogue. A pastor who witnessed the event said Mulongo’s arguments persuaded members of the crowd, including two prominent Muslim women who publicly converted.

According to witnesses, an imam who participated in the debate became angry and confronted Mulongo afterward, allegedly warning him:

“Bernard, you deserve death for blasphemous deeds and leading our people to that false religion.”

Hours later, after Mulongo appeared on a local radio program, he and a friend were traveling by motorcycle when several men blocked their path. His friend escaped and called police, but Mulongo was later found dead with multiple injuries, according to Morning Star News.

The imam is now among the suspects in the killing. Police were investigating and had made no arrests as of the report.

Mulongo leaves behind a wife and two young children, just 4 and 7 years old.

Please pray for his wife, his children and Christians around the world who risk everything for their faith.

Today’s project for our upcoming trip to Uganda!

Every other month we meet with pregnant women/girls to teach them how to have a safe delivery and basics in caring for themselves and their babies before and after birth.

We also educate on family planning to try and prevent back to back pregnancies.

This month we had 90 ladies come for our class. We budget for 50 birthing kits for each session. So those who are closer to delivery get the birthing kit and the remainder will come back for the next class to receive their birthing kit.

At every meeting the ladies are given a small meal or snack.

A lot of behind the scenes work goes into making the birthing kits. This is just a small part of the kit. These “medical” packs include: gloves, antiseptic wipes, alcohol pad, a razor blade and two cord ties.

These packets are then included with other medical supplies that we purchase in country to create items needed for delivery. And of course, a gift of clothing for the baby 😊

For more information on our birthing kit/maternal education program, you can visit our website and click on the appropriate tab.

Thank you to those who have supported, are supporting or are praying for this program!

This is so exciting! The pit latrine is almost completely finished.

This is miracle for our community! They have never had a dignified, safe place to use the bathroom! EVER 😳

Clean water and proper sanitation is the basis for a healthy community.

Thank you so much to everyone who has prayed and donated to this project!
