Everyone is safe, cozy, and keeping their foster mom company while they wait for calmer skies. We hope all of our supporters, their families, and their pets stay safe tonight, too. 🐾

Happy Father’s Day to all the dads out there… and to the boys in our care who will (thankfully) never be dads. 😹

These handsome gentlemen have all been neutered, which means no surprise kittens, no child support payments, and no adding to the homeless cat population.

Instead, they spend their days focused on the important things in life:
🐾 Naps
🐾 Snacks
🐾 Window watching
🐾 Judging us from across the room

Today we’re celebrating all the wonderful cat dads, foster dads, and animal-loving dads who make a difference. And we’re also giving a special shoutout to these boys, who are doing their part by ensuring Father’s Day remains strictly honorary.

Some cats wear their stories on the outside.

For Steinbeck, it’s that little tipped ear.

But if you ask us, the most remarkable thing about him isn’t where he came from. It’s who he is now.

Steinbeck is the kind of cat who makes himself right at home in your heart. He loves belly rubs, brushing sessions, Churu treats, and finding the perfect spot next to his people. He’s affectionate, goofy, and always ready to soak up attention.

He’s also done wonderfully with other cats in his foster home and has all the charm of a cat who knows he’s meant to be loved.

His tipped ear may tell a small part of his story, but the rest of it is still waiting to be written.

Why matchmaking matters in rescue 🐾

Country Crock is a really good example of why we care so much about matchmaking. Because Country Crock lives in a foster home, we don’t just know that she is sweet.

We know what she is like to actually live with.

We know she is gentle, affectionate, loves to cuddle, and brings a calm, comforting presence to a home.

We know she loves gentle pets, playing with toy springs, and somehow turning everyday life into games of hide and seek.

We know how she settles in.

We know what kind of home she will thrive in.

We know what helps her relax and truly be herself.

That is what makes foster-based matchmaking different.

We are not matching based on a quick meeting or a cute photo. We are matching based on real life. Real behavior. Real personality.

Our goal is not just getting cats adopted.

Our goal is helping cats like Country Crock land in the right home the first time, where they can settle in, feel safe, and truly thrive for life.

Because when the match is right, cats don’t just get adopted. They go home. 💜

While many of us are dealing with cleanup and another day without power, Jumble is focused on providing comfort, collecting scratches, and making sure no lap goes unused.

If tonight gets as stormy as they’re predicting, Foxtrot and Tango have already prepared their emergency plan:

🧡 Stay together
🧡 Find the softest spot in the house
🧡 Sleep through most of it
🧡 Wake up for snacks

Honestly, it’s a pretty solid plan.

Excuse me, do you have a minute to talk about your future cat? 🖤🤍

Because this tuxedo boy is pretty sure he belongs in a home of his own.

Artemis has the good looks, the charm, and the kind of face that makes you stop scrolling. Underneath that fancy black-and-white coat is a sweet boy who would much rather be spending his days lounging on the couch, watching the world go by, and soaking up attention from his favorite people.

Honestly, he’s making this adoption thing look easy.

The only thing missing is someone to fall in love with him.
