Yoga4Cats is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit animal-related public charity and a State of Illinois licensed foster-based animal rescue.

We provide Zen for Rescue Pets through our key programs: deCATurFosters, WeTNR, and Emmy’s Cause (low cost spay/neuter). Vision: Zen for Rescue Pets
Mission: Yoga4Cats promotes humane and ethical treatment of displaced cats in our community through public education and innovative approaches, and serves pets in need through outreach and progressive programs.

🌼💎 Happily Ever After for Marigold & Opal! 💎🌼

When their adopters lost a beloved kitty, they hoped to welcome two feline friends who would not only bring love into their home but also keep their current kitty company. They were looking for cats who could get along with both dogs and other cats, and Marigold and Opal got their chance at a new beginning! ❤️

These two sweet sisters are Mei’s kittens, and Mei herself was adopted just a couple of months ago! 🥹💕 There’s something extra special about seeing sisters stay together and continue their journey side by side. We couldn’t be happier that Marigold and Opal get to share their happily ever after in the same loving home! 🐾💗

Marigold is now Topaz 💛, and she’s doing wonderfully! She gets along great with her new feline sibling and the family dogs. Opal kept her beautiful name and has been learning how to share her space with the resident kitty. She started out being a little bossy, but her family patiently worked on creating safe spaces and using positive reinforcement. Their hard work has paid off, and things have improved so much! 🌟

These two girls have found their groove in their new home, and one of their favorite activities is snuggling up together in the cat tree for their midday naps. 😴🐱 Nothing beats having your sister by your side while you settle into your new life!

From a family hoping to fill a little void in their hearts to two sisters living their best spoiled lives, this adoption is a beautiful reminder that love, patience, and understanding can make all the difference. ❤️

We couldn’t be happier for Topaz and Opal and their family! Here’s to sisters staying together, full hearts, cozy cat naps, and many happy years of love and companionship! 🏡✨

Lilac is a slow-burn kind of cat. 💜

She’s not going to hand you her whole personality on day one. She likes a little time, a little space, and the chance to decide for herself who you are.

But once she starts feeling comfortable, that’s when the good stuff shows up.

The playful side.
The opinionated side.
The “excuse me, dinner is late” side.
The softer side she doesn’t give to just anybody.

Lilac knows who she is, and she’s not in a rush to prove anything.

She just needs someone patient enough to let the friendship happen naturally. 💜

🧡 Lyra’s world may look different now, but her story is far from over.

She’s learning to trust her other senses, memorize her surroundings, and move through life with more confidence every day.

What she needs next is pretty simple: a calm home, a little patience, and someone willing to give her the time to learn where everything is.

Blind cats can do amazingly well once they feel safe and know their space. Lyra doesn’t need someone to feel sorry for her.

She needs someone to choose her.

And somewhere out there is the person who will realize that loving Lyra doesn’t come with extra baggage.

It just comes with an extra-special cat. 🐾🧡

Country Crock is an absolute sweetheart with a serious talent for affection, cuddling, and making herself comfortable. She’s playful, loving, and more than ready to put those talents to work in a home of her own.

Sir Bleps-a-Lot would like to address the rumors.

Yes, the tongue is out again. 👅
No, he will not be taking questions at this time.

His legal team has advised him to focus on the facts:

He is incredibly sweet.
He loves affection and belly rubs.
He gets along with other cats.
He does well with calm dogs.
And he would be happiest in a quieter home where he can relax and be thoroughly spoiled.

As for the tongue situation?

No further comment.

Margarine would like to file a formal complaint.

Apparently being pretty, sweet, easygoing, and ridiculously photogenic is STILL not enough to get adopted around here. 😂

She has the green eyes.
She has the cute little tabby face.
She enjoys affection.
She likes to play.
She has perfected the art of looking adorable while doing absolutely nothing.

Her qualifications are solid.

At this point, we’re starting to think the problem is not Margarine.

It’s the hiring process. 😒

Margarine has shown up, looked cute, and passed every interview.

She’s just waiting on someone to finally make her an offer. 🤎

Tango and Foxtrot have the kind of brother relationship that says, “I would absolutely fight you for this spot… but also please don’t go anywhere.” 🧡😂

They nap together, play together, annoy each other, forgive each other instantly, and somehow make every photo look like they’re in the middle of a private conversation.

Basically, they’re siblings in the most accurate possible way.

They’ve done life side by side, and that’s exactly how we want their next chapter to look too. These two belong together, preferably somewhere with a comfy couch, plenty of snacks, and humans who appreciate a little orange nonsense.

Share Tango and Foxtrot and help us find the home that has room for both. 🐾🧡

Pebble has been informed that apparently you’re supposed to “put yourself out there” if you want to get adopted.

So here she is. Out there. 😂

She’s sweet, a little reserved at first, and once she gets comfortable, her playful and affectionate side starts showing up.

She does well with other cats and has also been around calm, cat-friendly dogs.

Pebble has done the brave part and put herself out there.

Now she’s just waiting for someone to realize this little face could be the best decision they make all week. 🤍

🚗 ☕ 🐈 Cars, Coffee & Cats!

Yoga4Cats was once again fortunate to be one of the local nonprofits supported by the Coffee Connection Cars & Coffee series, with this year’s event raising $691 for our cats!

Local car enthusiast Steve Wright hosts the series with Julie Stalets and Decatur Coffee Connection, bringing people together over some very cool cars while raising funds for a different local organization at each event. We even joined the lineup this year and had a great morning talking cars and meeting fellow enthusiasts.

After the event, Julie presented us with the big check at Coffee Connection, and Steve stopped by CatHQ to deliver the remaining donations and get a firsthand look at what that support helps make possible. We showed him around and shared a little about everything from our trapping equipment to the supplies we provide for foster homes and community cat caregivers.

We love seeing a local business and community members turn something they enjoy into support for small local organizations. Thank you to Julie, Steve, the Cars & Coffee sponsors, and everyone who came out and contributed. We’re grateful to be part of it. 💙
