The Decatur Blaze held a food drive contest to help support local food pantries.

The Blaze Foundation is thrilled to announce that in December we held a Food Drive with the Decatur Youth Hockey organization. Each team was given a box to fill up and the team with the most weight of food won a trip to an away game using the Blaze Charter bus!! Yesterday the food was weighed and came in at over 4000lbs of donated items for our community. The winning team is the 10U C1 team with 1542lbs followed closely by the 12U B1 team with 1513lbs. We are hoping to maybe have a local group or business help with the cost of Gas so that both teams can have a turn with the bus. Thank you to everyone that helped and donated. These items will be a huge help to our community!

STAFFING ANNOUNCEMENT!!! The Decatur Blaze are thrilled to announce our 24-25 Goalie Coach. Two time Olympian and 2 time world Champion Ervins Mustokovs. Having played in over 10 Countries including the KHL in Russia and in Sweden Mora IK with Anze Kopitar and Bobby Ryan during the lock out season he is excited to get started with giving a new generation his best in coaching. Having been listed as a Top 3 in Goalies for several years in the European Leagues we are so excited to welcome him to the Blaze Family
