Day 2 of the DAV 97th Annual State Convention and 89th Annual Auxiliary Convention

On June 12th, 2026, we invite everyone to acknowledge more than 250 years of women’s service to our Nation.

-Before there was a country - she was there.
She served when she wasn’t allowed to.
She stepped forward when others said no.
She carried the mission, broke barriers, and built a legacy that continues to shape our Nation today.

It commemorates the June 12, 1948, signing into law by President Harry S. Truman of the Women's Armed Services Integration Act, which enabled women to serve as permanent, regular members of the U.S. Armed Forces. The day is set aside to thank to all women who have served in the U.S. military.

Each generation has stood on the shoulders of those who came before - pushing further, reaching higher. Because of them, the next generation stands taller, prouder, and more inspired to serve.

Amry Infantry veteran, served with the 101st, Rakkasan and Currahee, 2 tours in Iraq and 1 in Afghanistan.

I am the Chapter Adjutant and a Past Department Commander.

Have two amazing kids and been a member since December 2015.

Bob Wery

Marine Corps Motor Transport veteran, both driver and mechanic. I served my first 4 years as a reservist in Green Bay and then did 8 years Active Reserve both in Green Bay and Abilene, TX (Dyess AFB).

I am the Chapter Senior Vice and have been a lifetime member for 7 years now.

Been married for almost 36 years. I have three grown children and two grandchildren.
