Run For Ryan

Run For Ryan A family friendly 5K Run/Walk event in honor of Ryan French. Ryan was a student in the Ag-Ed Program at Killingly High School. We are a nonprofit.

The proceeds from this race provide Scholarships to Killingly Ag-Ed Seniors going onto higher education. This page is dedicated to our son, Ryan French, whose life was cut way too short on 1/2/17. One of Ryan’s passions was running. Ryan was introduced to Cross Country in the 7th grade and literally “kept running” after that. As with everything he did in life, Ryan was dedicated, driven,

and focused on being the best runner he could be. Ryan was also a scholar in the Ag-Ed Program at Killingly High School. Ryan was well liked both on, and off, the Cross Country courses. We have found it fitting to honor Ryan by holding a 5K race in his name at his “home” Killingly XC course at Owen Bell Park. The proceeds from this race will go directly into the “Ryan French Memorial Scholarship Fund” which provides scholarships to graduating KHS Ag-Ed Seniors moving onto higher education.
