Greetings NEIP –
I am looking forward to our upcoming year and all the changes that we are making.
Success, in all ventures, comes from the ability to pivot, reflect and recharge. “That is the way we have always done it” is no longer the standard.
The PET CPR class for September has 30 registered attendees, and the phone keeps ringing. Thank you, Beth Roop, for advocating for this event and all the planning and effort you have put into it.
I attended IPEC’s September meeting that hosted our CT Council Director, Joy Kmetz. Due to her busy work schedule and our Association events, we could not coordinate a time that would work for both of us for her to speak at our meetings. She is enthusiastic about her new role in IAIP and will be sending a newsletter to keep us all up to date with her plans for growth.
Our next business meeting will follow our existing 4 th Wednesday of the month schedule and will be held on the 28 th . The workday is long enough, so we will begin at 5:30 and eat our meal during the meeting so that we can get home to our families or other obligations. Attorney Kate Cerrone will speak to us regarding how Probate works.
We will not have a business meeting in November as we have CT Council Day on the 14th, and we volunteer for Bags of Hope on the 20 th .
December’s meeting will begin our new schedule of the second Monday of the month. We will have a short meeting on the 12 th . Please let me know if you would like it to include a Yankee Swap, donations or gift cards for a charity, inviting a sister Association or to do something else.
As a reminder, if you have earned new designations or your employer has changed, let me know if you would like a new name badge. I will be placing the order the beginning of October.
