This is about an exciting group of women that truly care about their community. You and other members will place your nominating ballot in the "box."

VCWWC strives to make a difference in the lives of individuals in Volusia County, Florida, by raising money through its members and community partners directing their contributions to qualified 501(C)(3) organizations nominated & selected by its members. Volusia County Women Who Care is an alliance of women with the intent of streamlining fundraising help for agencies in Volusia County. Simply commit to making a $100.00 contribution quarterly to a selected 501 (c) (3). As a member, you have the opportunity, at the quarterly meetings, to nominate the charity you would like to have the Volusia County Women Who Care support. Three nominating ballots will be randomly chosen. If your charity is chosen you have ten minutes to pitch the group for support. Following each presentation, the group has five minutes to ask questions. After the three presentations ...WE VOTE! The votes are tallied and the majority wins. The winner is announced and everyone writes their check directly to the winning charity. The checks are collected and are subsequently presented to the charity on behalf of the group. The impact is big! 200+ women $100.00 $20,000+ investment in our community after each meeting. We invite you to join today by completing a Commitment Form that you can receive at the quarterly meeting and or email Teresa: [email protected] or call (703) 401-0096

What an inspiring group of young leaders! 💙

Thank you to the VII National Honor Society for inviting me to speak with more than 50 students gathered at Creek High School. Representing schools across Volusia, Flagler, and Putnam counties, these students and their teachers are committed to making their communities—and the world—a better place.

Their theme this year, “Beyond the Screen,” provided a wonderful opportunity to share my passion for building a better community together through connection, participation, and caring.

A special thank-you to the student leadership team: President Salsabeel Eldeeb, Vice President Insha Majeed, Secretary Yan Yo Chen, Treasurer Hoang-Lam Nguyen, Webmaster Dikshant Acharya, and Historian Ty’ana Goodwin.

I left feeling encouraged and inspired by their energy and commitment to service. Thank you for including me—and for the difference you are already making! 💙

💜 Local support makes a lasting difference!

Today, we were delighted to join Store Manager Joe Dunlap and Pharmacist Chris Bowra at the Walmart Neighborhood Market in Holly Hill for a check presentation celebrating their continued support of Volusia County Women Who Care.

Through Walmart’s Spark Good program, their generosity supports our Community Partner Impact Fund, allowing us to award grants to two additional local nonprofits each quarter. Their partnership also helps sustain the work of VCWWC and expand the difference we make together.

Joe, Chris, and the Holly Hill Walmart team—thank you for welcoming us today and for caring about the community we call home! 💜
