🎨🗣️ Can you tell what they were trying to draw? 😂

Communication is more than just talking—it's making sure your message is clear enough for someone else to understand.

This summer, our youth took on a fun communication challenge! One student was challenged with listening carefully to create images without seeing the original.

Their peers had to describe it using only words. The results? 🤣 Some drawings looked almost identical... while others took a very creative turn! But every drawing became a valuable lesson.

They quickly discovered that when we make assumptions instead of asking questions, the message can change completely. Whether in school, at work, during interviews, or in everyday life, strong communication skills help build confidence, prevent misunderstandings, and create better relationships.

We Went Quiet This Summer! 🤭📱

If you've been wondering where we've been... we owe you an explanation.

This summer, we chose to spend less time behind the camera and more time investing in what matters most—our youth. ❤️

While our social media took a break, our students certainly didn't! They spent the summer learning, growing, laughing, challenging themselves, and preparing for brighter futures.

Over the next several days, we'll be sharing photos and videos from an unforgettable summer filled with learning, leadership, and life-changing moments.

🌟 This summer, our youth learned:
✔️ Financial literacy and smart money management
✔️ Budgeting for everyday life and future goals
✔️ Professional communication and workplace etiquette
✔️ Interview skills and career readiness
✔️ Public speaking and confidence building
✔️ Teamwork, leadership, and problem-solving
✔️ Goal setting and personal responsibility
✔️ Character development and positive decision-making
✔️ The importance of education, career planning, and lifelong learning
✔️ How to build healthy relationships and communicate effectively

But beyond the lessons...

We watched confidence grow.
We saw friendships form.
We celebrated accomplishments.
We witnessed young people begin believing in themselves and their futures.

Thank you to every parent, volunteer, supporter, donor, and community partner who helped make this summer possible. Your investment is making a lasting impact on the next generation.

The confidence was HIGH. The trash talk was LOUD. 🤣 But did she back it up? 👀 Yes!!!!!! 😂😂😂

At Strength To Elevate, we believe learning happens through laughter too. Friendly competition helps our youth build confidence, teamwork, resilience, and sportsmanship—all while making unforgettable memories.

Thursday Teen Talk: A Safe Space to Be Heard 💙🎨

Every young person deserves a place where their voice matters.

Last week during our first Teen Talk Session, our youth opened up about the topics that matter most to them.

Together, they identified conversations they'd like to continue throughout the summer—including friendships, family relationships, communication, self-confidence, peer pressure, and preparing for the future.

Each participant painted a personalized affirmation—a daily reminder of who they are and who they're becoming. These affirmations are more than artwork.

They're declarations of confidence.
They're reminders of purpose.
They're promises our youth are making to themselves.

At Strength To Elevate, we believe growth happens when young people are seen, heard, and encouraged.

Every day at Strength To Elevate, our youth step into leadership! 💙

Each student will have a chance at beginning our day by leading prayer, teaching a new vocabulary word for their classmates to use throughout the day, and sharing an affirmation or current event. These moments help build confidence, ommunication, leadership, and public speaking skills.
