This weekend two of our drone teams traveled to Terre Haute, Indania for a signature event. This event brought teams from Vermont, Texas, Georgia and other states across the US together to compete in a national championship setting of 48 teams.

Both CLC teams made it to the top 10 in both skills and teamwork matches!

Wild Wings elected to have Trotwood High School as their alliance in the finals, and as a result, brought the teamwork championship title to the 937 in this amazing event.

Congratulations to ALL the teams we saw this weekend. The competition was truly amazing.

40 years ago today, we lost our beloved Challenger crew. Today, we pause and remember Francis “Dick” Scobee, Michael Smith, Judith Resnik, Ellison Onizuka, Ronald McNair, Gregory Jarvis, and Christa McAuliffe.

In the past 40 years, we’ve stood as a living tribute to these seven brave crew members, continuing their mission to fuel curiosity and exploration. We’ve served over 7 million students since then, inspiring future generations with the Challenger crew’s story and resilience. The journey continues, and our collective efforts to inspire the future of STEM have never been more vital.

We intend to spend the next 40 years inspiring students to reach for the stars. ✨Let’s launch the next era—together.

Did you know we host three drone teams in collaboration with Dayton Public Schools? Not only do we have team members from across the region, but we also have team members that are DPS students. Anyone can join when we form teams in the fall!

Our teams competed in their first tournament of the season on the 10th of January at Trotwood High School. Two of our three teams, Wild Wings and Burgers and Fries, won the overall teamwork match. Wild Wings also won the skills match. Both teams also received additional recognition for their sportsman ship and knowledge of the competition.

Our third team Abracadabra also finished their qualification matches in 2nd place and made it to the semifinals. Ending the day with a 3rd place.

The teams will compete again this coming weekend at Kiser Elementary School. They will then travel to Xenia, Canfield, and even Terre Haute to compete with teams from across the United States.
