Happy Memorial Day from The Edge! 🇺🇸

Today we pause to honor and remember the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. Their sacrifice reminds us of the value of freedom, community, and gratitude.

We also want to wish all of our students, teachers, families, and community partners a safe and meaningful holiday. Thank you for the role you play in encouraging, supporting, and investing in young people every day.

As you spend time with family and friends, may we all take a moment to remember those who made these freedoms possible.

The event is at Bryan College cafeteria on Thursday, March 12th at 6:30 pm. There is a free meal with an opportunity to donate and hear about the amazing work God is doing at The Care Center.

New research reviewing 154 studies found that verbal venting and replaying anger often keeps the body activated instead of calming it down, challenging the "pressure cooker" idea that anger must be "expressed".
Reflection? Healthy.
Rumination? Not so much.
What lowers anger?
✔ Deep breathing
✔ Timeouts
✔ Mindfulness
✔ Muscle relaxation
✔ Calm movement like yoga
When the body cools, anger cools.
This is a skill our teens need in a culture that rewards emotional reaction.
