We are so proud to share that the Give Like Charly Foundation has gifted a therapy dog and training to the Bettendorf Community School District.

Meet Ernie 🐾 — the newest member of the district, who will be supporting students and staff, especially at the middle and high school levels. 

Therapy dogs have a powerful impact — bringing comfort, reducing anxiety, and helping students feel safe, seen, and supported.

Charly’s light continues to shine in the most beautiful ways. 💛

Meet Ernie, our new BCSD Therapy Dog. Thanks to a generous gift from the Give Like Charly Foundation, which is funded in memory of BHS '22 grad Charly Erpelding, Ernie will join the BCSD Therapy Dog Program to support staff and students all around BCSD. Charly was known for her positive mindset and being a wonderful friend to all and that is exactly Ernie's purpose in his job. Ernie will be working all around BCSD with Mrs. Hoyt, he's headed to BMS to start his day on Monday. He'll also be working at BHS with Mr. Hoyt!

Only one more sleep until the big day! 💛 We have had people asking how they could support this event if they are not a golfer. We invite you to stop out to Hidden Hills tomorrow from 7am-630pm and check out the raffle/silent auction items! We would love to see you!! I have also listed the Venmo below if you would like to donate. 100% of the proceeds from the Give Like Charly Foundation go back into efforts to make our community stronger, and to support the youth who represent the future of our community.
