Have you heard about Coastal Neighbors’ Visual Impairment Group? People with any level of visual impairment are welcome to join us to share experiences, exchange helpful tips and resources, and connect with others who understand the challenges of navigating life with vision loss.

Our next gathering is Friday, October 16 at 10 a.m. The group is facilitated by Becky, who generously hosts the gatherings in her home.

Whether your visual impairment is new or something you’ve been navigating for years, you’re welcome to join the conversation. Contact Coastal Neighbors for more information, to RSVP, or to request a ride.

This photo is from the group's last meeting and features members engaged in discussion with a special invited guest.

Our Intergenerational Conversations are back this fall and the first session is just two weeks away. Join Coastal Neighbors for conversation and refreshments with students in Professor Maureen Hall’s Education class.

Coastal Neighbors who participate in the spring reflected that they weren't sure what to expect but that conversations with the students were easier than expected, interesting, and made them hopeful for the future!

RSVP for as many sessions as you'd like in the "events" section at CoastalNeighbors.org or by calling or texting us at 508-556-4004.

📣 DATE CHANGE: Celebration of Volunteers

Due to an unexpected issue at the venue, our Celebration of Volunteers has been rescheduled to Wednesday, September 16 from 4–6 p.m. at Anchor Rock Vineyards.

The time and location remain the same—only the date has changed!

If you’ve already RSVPed and can no longer attend on Wednesday, please let us know. Any transportation requests already submitted will automatically be moved to Wednesday unless we hear otherwise.

We apologize for any inconvenience this change may cause and appreciate your flexibility. We hope to see you on Wednesday, September 16 as we celebrate the incredible volunteers who make Coastal Neighbors possible! 💙

Whenever we tell folks about the Association for the Relief of Aged Women (ARAW), they always say it sounds too good to be true! And it almost is! We're very fortunate to work with ARAW to support women aging in place in Dartmouth and Westport.

“I’d be struggling to pay for everything [without the Association for the Relief of Aged Women]. I wouldn’t be able to do it.” – Joan Cambra
