All have been fostered with other cats, dogs, & young kids.

All have been altered, vaccinated, microchipped, & combo tested (neg).

We’d be remiss if we didn’t take a moment to address the hate one of our partner shelters has received.

Clarke County Animal Shelter didn’t ask to be overcrowded with dogs that have been abandoned by humans. They are serving their community which means they have no choice but to euthanize for space.

Do they…

Transport to other rescues ✅
Work with local rescues ✅
Adopt ✅

What more are they to do? Close intake? Adopt to anyone? That is a DISSERVICE to the animals in need & the community.

Have they begged us for help? Yes!!!! Along with every shelter in our area they are desperate for a miracle that does not exist.

None of us have unlimited funds, time, or space.

And yes, we get it you have a full house so you can’t adopt, foster, or donate. Well so do all of us.

Responsible rescues limit their space while responsible shelters continue to serve their community.

It’s okay to be angry but be angry with irresponsible owners. Be angry at backyard breeders. Be angry at the lack of affordable spay and neuter. Be angry at the people who dump animals and walk away.

But stop blaming the people trying to hold the system together with duct tape and broken hearts.

We don’t do this for fun, we do it to make a very small difference in the world.

Someone decided to have a little too much fun in the mud.

We may need a I’ve stayed clean for how many days sign for this Dude. His partner in crime doesn’t look any better.
