We are partnering with the Baldwin County Trailblazers Inc. for Chalk the Trail, coming May 17th at Utopia Park! ๐ŸŒž๐ŸŒž๐ŸŒž

ESAC Community Outreach Director Lindsey Lawrence has put together some tips and tricks for the big day >>>

Pro Tips:
- Protect your knees and your skin
- Donโ€™t forget your sunscreen and blankets or padding for your knees. Even a piece of cardboard can make a good barrier between your knees and the sidewalk and wonโ€™t smear your art.
- Plan ahead: Have something in mind or do some practice sketches before the event!
- Wet your chalk to make the colors more vibrant!
- Use your hands to blend colors, or bring some paper towels to blend.
- Build up color by layering and shading.

Most importantly, have fun! More details at:

Chalk the Trail is back and better than ever, in coordination with the Eastern Shore Art Center! The event has MOVED to the Eastern Shore Trail at Utopia Park to avoid construction at the pier. Check-in begins at noon, and winners will be announced at 4:30.

Participants use chalk pastels to create their own unique design in their designated sidewalk โ€˜square.โ€™ Each participant or team is provided a goodie bag with a 12-ct. pastel chalk set, snacks, and other fun giveaways.

All skill levels and ages are welcome! This is a friendly competition, with awards given for: adult (18+), teen (13-18), child (12 and under), and family/group.

The City of Fairhope - Municipal Government needs your input! The City is developing a comprehensive plan to improve safety for all โ€“ including pedestrians, bicyclists, transit users, and drivers. The Safety Action Plan will focus on roadway safety challenges, identifying projects, and developing policies that will address these challenges. This effort is funded by a โ€œSafe Streets and Roads for Allโ€ grant recently awarded to the City.
