Anchor Cross Cancer Foundation A local non-profit dedicated to providing assistance to cancer patients in the Gulf Coast region. Our vision is to provide hope when all seems lost.

The Anchor Cross Cancer Foundation is a public charity that has been designated as tax-exempt by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code (IRC). The Anchor Cross Cancer Foundation was established in 2007 to help patients in our community who are fighting cancer. WE HELP OUR NEIGHBORS WHO HAVE CANCER REGARDLESS OF WHERE THEY RECEIVE THEIR TREATMENT. We are a community based not-for-profit foundation dedicated to patient assistance and community education while improving the wellness of the residents we serve in the Gulf Coast Region. We have one paid employee and a volunteer Board of Directors made up of community leaders from Mobile and Baldwin County. We have a short application process that is completed by patients and their providers. The applications are reviewed weekly. Patients are usually notified of our determinations within a week of our decision. Qualification criteria for assistance from Anchor Cross Cancer Foundation is being a resident of the greater Mobile/Baldwin County area, having cancer and having financial need (measured by 200% of federal poverty level). Anchor Cross Cancer Foundation receives funding from employee matching programs, private donations, community fundraisers and holds industry events. Our industry events, supported by the physicians and staff of Southern Cancer Center cover all operating and overhead costs allowing us to spend all funds from donations and fundraising events on patient support. YES, you read that right. Every penny (100%) received in donations or raised through community events goes to patient support! Another great FACT is that the funds we raise stay in SOUTH ALABAMA.
