👂 **OCTOBER 15 — WHAT ARE THOSE EARS SAYING?**

Donkeys don't need words to tell us a lot.

Their ears can provide clues about where their attention is focused and how they're reacting to what's happening around them. 🫏

Forward.

Sideways.

One forward and one back.

Those famous ears are constantly moving!

Next time you see a donkey, watch the ears and see where their attention goes. 👀

❤️ **OCTOBER 14 — MEET THE HERD**

Behind every pair of long ears is an individual personality. 🫏❤️

Some donkeys are confident.

Some are cautious.

Some want attention.

Some prefer to watch from a comfortable distance.

And some seem convinced that every human who walks through the gate is carrying snacks. 😂🥕

Getting to know each donkey as an individual is one of the most rewarding parts of rescue.

What personality do you think YOUR donkey would have?

🫏 **OCTOBER 13 — MYTH VS. FACT**

**MYTH:** Donkeys are stubborn.

**FACT:** There's usually more going on!

Donkeys tend to have a strong sense of self-preservation. If they're unsure about something, they may stop and evaluate the situation before deciding what to do.

That hesitation can sometimes look like stubbornness to us.

Sometimes the donkey isn't saying "NO."

It's saying…

**"Give me a minute. I'm thinking."** 😄

🍁 **OCTOBER 12 — FALL DAYS AT THE RESCUE**

There's something special about fall at Turning Pointe. ❤️

Cool mornings.

Colorful leaves.

Fuzzy donkeys enjoying the changing season. 🫏🍂

And, naturally, everyone still wants to know when the next meal is being served. 😂

We wouldn't have it any other way.

Say hello to the herd and leave us a 🫏 in the comments!

☀️ Simple Moments

Sometimes the best moments are the quiet ones.
A peaceful pasture.
A calm herd.
A happy donkey enjoying the sunshine.

That’s what rescue is all about. ❤️
