Whitfield County Schools and Whitfield Professional Firefighters Association Local 5416 Partner to Support Student
Whitfield County, GA — The Whitfield County School System and the Whitfield Professional Firefighters Association Local 5416 recently had the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the life of a local student through the generosity of an anonymous donor.
Teachers within the Whitfield County School System identified a student who would benefit from increased mobility support and worked to bring attention to the need. Around the same time, an anonymous donor contacted the Whitfield Professional Firefighters Association Local 5416 with the desire to make a donation that would directly impact a member of the community.
Through this partnership, Local 5416 facilitated the purchase of a wheelchair, which was then provided to the student. The donation will help increase the student’s mobility and independence, supporting participation in both classroom activities and daily life.
“We are grateful for the generosity of the anonymous donor whose compassion made this possible,” said representatives of the Whitfield Professional Firefighters Association Local 5416. “We also want to recognize the teachers and staff within the Whitfield County School System who identified the need and helped connect the right people to make this opportunity a reality.”
