🚒Active Incident🚒

Members of the Whitfield Professional Firefighters Association Local 5416 are currently assisting the Dalton Fire Department with a residential structure fire in the area of Haig Mill Lake Road.

Due to a heavy public safety presence, traffic delays and temporary travel disruptions may occur in the area. We ask motorists to please use caution, slow down, and avoid the area if possible to allow emergency personnel room to operate safely.

🚨 ACTIVE INCIDENT 🚨

Members of the Whitfield Professional Firefighters Association Local 5416 are currently on scene alongside the Whitfield County Fire Department and multiple emergency response agencies at a serious multi-vehicle accident on I-75 Northbound near Exit 341. The incident involves multiple patients with serious injuries, and emergency crews remain actively working the scene.

Motorists should expect significant traffic delays in the area and are urged to use caution, slow down, and move over for emergency responders.

🌧️ Wet Weather Driving Safety Tips:
1️⃣ Reduce your speed and increase following distance to help prevent hydroplaning.
2️⃣ Turn on your headlights anytime windshield wipers are in use.
3️⃣ Avoid sudden braking or sharp turns on wet roadways.

Please keep all those involved, along with the responding firefighters, EMS personnel, and law enforcement officers, in your thoughts as operations continue.

Special things to the assisting agencies, Whitfield County Sheriffs Department, the Georgia State Patrol, Hamilton EMS, and Dalton Fire Department.
