Over the last 7 years, Dog Rescue R Us has saved more than 15,000 dogs from the streets, neglect, abandonment, and high-kill shelters throughout the Permian Basin and West Texas. Every one of those lives mattered. Every one of those lives came with a cost.
🚍 Every 3 weeks, our transport bus travels nearly 4,000 miles to take dogs from Texas to loving homes and rescue partners in other states.
That means paying for:

🐾 Drivers
🐾 Vehicle maintenance & repairs
🐾 Vaccines
🐾 Deworming
🐾 Flea & tick prevention
🐾 Heartworm testing & bloodwork
🐾 Spay & neuter surgeries

🐾 Food & supplies
🐾 Kennels & bedding
🐾 Facility expenses
🐾 Employees & dedicated volunteers who care for these dogs every day
The reality is that saving this many dogs takes an incredible amount of money, manpower, and support. Fundraising is one of the hardest parts of rescue work. Some days, the weight of it all feels overwhelming, and I just want to throw my hands up.
But then I look into the eyes of the dogs who have no one else.
And we keep going. ❤️
