🚒🚓 Safety is taking center stage on Fair Day!
The Dallas Police Department and Dallas Fire-Rescue are bringing their teams to the 30th Annual Dallas Mayor’s Back to School Fair. Kids and families can meet local first responders, learn how they serve our city, and enjoy fun, interactive experiences.

🔥 Step inside Dallas Fire-Rescue’s mobile Fire Safety House to learn important fire prevention tips and practice how to escape a fire. Sparky the Fire Dog will also be there to greet families, pose for photos, and make learning fun!

🚓 Meet Dallas police officers and discover more about the important roles they play throughout our communities. Kids can also say hello and take photos with McGruff the Crime Dog while learning how they can help protect themselves, their families, and their neighborhoods.

These departments also play an important role in making Fair Day possible. Dallas police officers will help organize traffic as families arrive and look out for everyone throughout Fair Park. Firefighters and paramedics will be on site and ready to assist if anyone needs help!

When you see them at the Fair, please stop by to say hello, snap a photo, and ask what inspired them to choose their careers. Most importantly, help us thank them for everything they do for Dallas on Fair Day and throughout the year. ❤️

☀️ Wondering how your family will stay cool and refreshed on Fair Day?

Coca-Cola Southwest Beverages has you covered! Families can enjoy bottled water and Coca-Cola favorites, including Coca-Cola, Diet Coke, Sprite, and Coke Zero. With so much to explore, a refreshing drink will help keep the whole family ready for more Fair Day fun. 🥤

Coca-Cola giveaway items will also be available while supplies last. Plus, eligible students can look forward to one more special surprise! We won’t spoil it, but it is something they can take with them into the new school year.

This partnership is helping us create a more comfortable and welcoming experience where families can spend time together and make special memories before the school year begins. Make sure to take a break, enjoy the moment, and share a refreshing Coca-Cola together. ❤️

🎉 Your Fair Day sneak peek is here!

We are officially one week away from the 30th Annual Dallas Mayor’s Back to School Fair, and this year’s celebration is filled with experiences to help students feel excited, confident, and hopeful about the school year ahead.

Here is some of what families can look forward to:

🎶 Live music and cultural performances
🎪 Exciting family entertainment
🐾 Mascots from across Dallas
🏀 Sports and interactive family activities
🎨 Face painting
📸 Photo booths and memorable family moments
🩺 Health screenings and wellness resources

Fair Day festivities begin at 7:30 a.m. with a special opening program featuring Dallas Mayor Eric L. Johnson and the event sponsors whose support helps make this celebration possible.

There will be something new to discover around every corner, and we can’t wait for Dallas students and families to experience a day created with them in mind! 💙

Now let’s make sure students feel healthy and ready to learn! 🩺

Make sure you stop by Walmart Land, where your family will be taken care of from the moment you arrive. Families can receive free health screenings, explore helpful wellness resources, pick up Walmart tote bags, and enjoy activities for all ages!

Walmart and Sam's Club are also teaming up to provide thousands of refreshments and snacks inside the Fair’s buildings, giving families convenient places to cool down, recharge, and stay hydrated throughout the day.

Getting ready for school is about more than filling a backpack. It is also about helping students begin the year feeling healthy, supported, and confident.

Walmart was the first partner to step forward for Dallas families as this year’s Title Sponsor. Their leadership is helping families save money, live better, and prepare for a healthy start to the school year. We are proud to celebrate Walmart and Sam’s Club for showing up in such a big way for Dallas students and families! 💙

Backpacks are on the way!🎒

There is something exciting about starting a new school year with a new backpack. It gives students a place for everything they need and can help them feel more prepared for that first walk into the classroom.

Courtesy of City of Dallas Water Utilities, clear backpacks will be available for students attending the 30th Dallas Mayor's Back To School Fair. This support gives families one less item to worry about and helps students begin the year feeling ready and confident.

Backpacks will be distributed on a first come, first served basis while supplies last, so families are encouraged to arrive early.

📣 See you in 14 days, Dallas!

Just two weeks from now, Fair Park will be filled with thousands of students and families preparing for the school year ahead.

Backpacks will be packed. New connections will be made. Families will discover health services, community resources, and programs that can support them long after the Fair ends. Students will leave with more than supplies. They’ll leave feeling prepared, encouraged, and confident about the year ahead.

That is what the Dallas Mayor’s Back to School Fair has been about for 30 years: helping Dallas students begin the school year knowing their community believes in them. 💙

What will the 30th Annual Dallas Mayor’s Back to School Fair sound like?

It will sound like community: families coming together, students getting excited for the year ahead, live Mariachi, the rhythms of Folklórico, and five Audacy stations helping spread the word across Dallas!

We are incredibly grateful for Audacy’s partnership in bringing the culture and energy of our city to the Fair while helping us expand Spanish-language outreach to more Dallas families. Their support is making it easier for families to learn about the free school supplies, health services, community resources, and experiences waiting for them at Fair Park.
