Survivor.

It's a powerful word.

But behind that word is a person who has experienced something you may never fully understand.

Someone who may have been afraid.

Someone who may have lost hair, breasts, time, money, sleep, relationships, or parts of themselves.

Someone who may still be dealing with the physical and emotional effects long after treatment ended.

Surviving isn't always the end of the story.

To every breast cancer survivor:
We see you. We celebrate you. And we're still here. 💗

It's officially Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and you may be asking yourself, "why do we make so much noise about breast cancer?" 🥁

Because somewhere, right now, someone is sitting in an oncology office waiting for answers.

Someone is getting a mammogram.

Someone is starting chemotherapy.

Someone is waiting for the results of a clinical trial.

Someone is helping their mom through treatment.

Someone is celebrating being cancer-free.

And someone is grieving the person they lost.

So yes. We're going to make some noise.

We're going to drum.

We're going to rock.

We're going to tell stories.

We're going to raise funds.

And we're going to keep talking about breast cancer until we don't have to.
