✨ In Their Voices: Part 1 ✨

“What have you been able to overcome since being at Jesse’s House?”

The answers to this question were so powerful that we couldn't fit them into just one post.

Every young woman who comes to Jesse’s House has a unique story. Through support, stability, counseling, and community, they are overcoming challenges they once thought impossible—from self-doubt and fear to past trauma and uncertainty about the future.

Today, we’re honored to share the first part of their stories, in their own words. 💙

Their resilience reminds us that healing is possible, hope is real, and every step forward deserves to be celebrated.

🌻 June 1st marks Founder’s Day and the beginning of a special month as we celebrate 28 years of Jesse’s House. 💙
For 28 years, we have provided hope, healing, and a safe place for girls in need. Over that time, we’ve served more than 1,100 girls—and we’re just getting started.

💛 As the needs of our community have evolved, so have we. We’ve adapted our programs, expanded our support services, and remained committed to helping every girl who walks through our doors build a brighter future.

💛This milestone belongs to every staff member, volunteer, donor, partner, and advocate who has been part of our journey. Thank you for helping us change lives for 28 years.

💙 Here’s to the next chapter of impact, empowerment, and hope. ✨

We are incredibly proud of our Executive Director, Elizabeth Johnson, who was recently honored by her daughter, Liv Johnson , as part of a special Mother's Day feature on Fox News New York.

Elizabeth's dedication extends far beyond the walls of Jesse's House. As a mother, leader, advocate, and mentor, she pours her heart into supporting the girls we serve every day. It was wonderful to see her recognized for the compassion, strength, and love she brings to both her family and our community.

Please join us in congratulating Elizabeth on this well-deserved honor! 💙

✨ In Their Voices ✨

“What are you most proud of since coming to Jesse’s House?” 💙

Healing isn’t always loud. Sometimes it looks like rebuilding confidence, learning to trust again, reaching goals, discovering passions, or simply believing in yourself for the first time in a long time.

This week, our girls are sharing the accomplishments they’re most proud of — and their strength continues to inspire us every single day. 🌻

Thank you for continuing to support a place where growth, healing, and hope are possible. Because of you, these young women are able to see just how capable they truly are.

“In Their Voices” 🤍

“What motivates and inspires you?”

Today is National Children’s Mental Health Awareness Day.

Healing isn’t always something you can see, but sometimes it sounds like this.

It sounds like hope.
Like purpose.
Like finding the strength to keep going.

At Jesse’s House, our girls are supported not just in where they’ve been but in what’s ahead. What inspires them now is a reflection of how far they’ve come.

Stay with us—there’s more to come. 🤍
