Last night, we had the opportunity to bring together manufacturing leaders from across Forsyth County for our Manufacturing Society Happy Hour.

We heard discussions around workforce challenges, new technology, leadership, AI and what it takes to continue building a strong manufacturing sector here in Forsyth County.

When manufacturers come together to share ideas, discuss challenges, and learn from one another, it creates opportunities for innovation, stronger partnerships, and workforce solutions that benefit businesses across Forsyth County.

What does it look like when a community invests in the next generation? 🚀

It looks like Launch Lift Off.

This week, FOCO Works partnered with County Schools Pathways | CTAE & Fine Arts to help students prepare for what comes next, whether that’s entering the workforce, heading to college, or figuring out their next step.

Over two days, students worked on resumes, interview skills, professional communication, digital footprint awareness, stress management, and first impressions.

But honestly, the best part was seeing the excitement and confidence grow throughout the program. Students asked thoughtful questions, connected with employers, stepped outside their comfort zones, and showed up ready to learn.

Programs like this only happen because our community chooses to invest in students.

Huge thank you to Technologies, Bank, and Technical College for supporting Launch Lift Off and investing in the future workforce of Forsyth County.

And thank you to of North Georgia for hosting this year’s program and creating a space for students to learn, grow, and connect.

The future workforce is already here. Our job is to make sure they’re ready.

We took Manufacturing Society on the road today!🚍

A group of Forsyth County manufacturers, suppliers, and partners had the opportunity to tour the Gainesville Inland Port and it did not disappoint.

Getting to see the operation up close really brought it all into perspective. From the scale of the site to how containers move from the Port of Savannah to local facilities, it’s clear this is a big opportunity for businesses looking to improve efficiency and reliability in their supply chain.

Yesterday FOCO Works was excited to host panels for the County Schools Pathways | CTAE & Fine Arts Launch | Senior Summit. The panels we facilitated focused on career opportunities after graduation, and it was one of those days that reminds you why this work matters.

We kicked things off with a panel on Forsyth County Top Careers featuring leaders from Northside Hospital, Vertical Earth, and Kamstrup North America. They shared real insight into high-demand, entry-level roles and what it actually takes to get started in their industries.

Next up was Success Reimagined. Stacey Krsulic and Max Thomas shared their stories of navigating career changes, redefining what success looks like, and leaning on the right people along the way. It was honest, practical, and exactly what students ready to graduate needed to hear.

We wrapped with a panel on public safety Forsyth County Sheriff's Office and military careers, highlighting the wide range of opportunities available right after graduation, including pathways that help fund further education.

Forsyth County is lucky to have community partners who continue to show up, invest their time, and pour into the next generation. This is how we connect students to real career opportunities.
