A couple of work days at school. Room refresh, deep cleaning, and building garden beds for this coming year’s life skill. It’s been wonderful to see everyone come together and work so hard to make next year great!

🌳Meet the Teacher

Hi, my name is Kathryn Wood and this is my second year as the art teacher for Standing Oak. I’m 23 years old and I graduated from the University of North Georgia with my bachelor’s in art education.

I am so excited to start the school year and create fun and meaningful projects with your students! I hope to share my love for creating art and learning new techniques/tools throughout the school year!

I look forward to seeing everyone again this fall!

🌿Teacher Adventures🌿 Ms. Connie took a trip this summer with her family to Greece and Turkey. She loved every moment of history and special time with her family!

She spent time all over mainland Greece, and in Turkey she visited Istanbul and Izmir. One of her favorites was the ancient city of Ephesus.

She even got to see the “Lion in the Gateway” of the Mycenaean Civilization. (Our form 2 students read about that last year.)
