Erin Peterson is the CEO of Scout Stories in Atlanta. People call her when something important isn’t connecting. Goodwill of North Georgia. MARTA, The Fox Theatre, Atlanta Public Schools, Atlanta Tech Village, Girl Scouts, Motherhood Beyond Bars, and 11Alive all have asked Scout to help transform their messages.
Her job is to find the story worth telling and make it land. For Goodwill, that meant shifting the story from programs to people. They raised more than $500,000 in one night.

Before Scout, Erin spent her career in newsrooms. She led national investigations that changed a federal law and VA policy. The work won 28 Emmys, three National Edward R. Murrow Awards, and the duPont-Columbia Award for Investigative Journalism. It ran on 64 stations, CNN, the Today Show, Last Week Tonight with John Oliver, and A&E’s Intervention.

Now she partners with executives, founders, and teams on what to say and who to say it to. She keynotes. She runs trainings. She was an AFA National Finalist in Persuasive Speaking. From UT Austin to newsrooms around the country and here in Atlanta, Erin knows that if the story’s right, everything else works better.
