Hello All, Looking for something free and different to see and do this weekend? Have you ever wanted to explore the exciting world of ham radio? Now’s your chance! Join the Sawnee Amateur Radio Association (SARA) for our ARRL Field Day event and experience the magic of amateur radio firsthand.
We will be setup and operating for a 24 hour period.
Starting: Saturday June 22, 2pm
Ending: Sunday June 23, 2pm
📍We will be at Cu***ng Fairground’s campground located behind the sawmill. The easiest way to get there is come in the back side of the fairgrounds on Tolbert street, but you can come in the main entrance, drive down to the steam engine barn, and look for us behind the sawmill.
We will have multiple stations:
🎤Voice,
📟Morse Code,
💻Digital,
🛰Satellite, and even a
🦊Fox Hunt
And don't miss our GOTA (Get On The Air) station, where you can make your very first radio contact with expert guidance!
