There are only 196 days until Christmas and the Cumberland Community Christmas Mother is in the early planning stages of preparation for giving the needy children and seniors of Cumberland County a great Christmas! We have made an Amazon wish list/registry for the seniors and children. If you are willing and able to help us with some of these purchases your assistance will be greatly appreciated. Cooling Assistance helps with cooling equipment repairs or purchases and with payment of the electric bill to operate cooling equipment.
To be eligible a household must contain at least one vulnerable individual who is age 60 or over, is living with a disability, or is under age 6.
You can obtain an application at our office, online (CommonHelp.virginia.gov) or call 855-635-4370. You can also call us at 804-492-4915 and we'll be happy to mail an application to you.
Assistance is based on the availability of funds

Thanks to caring volunteers, we’ve built a program that truly makes a difference… but we need you to keep it going strong.

· Toy and gift distribution
· Sorting and organizing donations
· Assisting families during pickup days
· Spreading holiday cheer with kindness and compassion

We will be taking the seniors on a trip to Historic Tuckahoe in Goochland for some local history, and we are planning a Spring Break trip to Luray Caverns! If you are interested in either, please let us know ASAP!
