BikeCulverCity, previously the Culver City Bicycle Coalition (CCBC), is a volunteer and member-supported chapter of the Los Angeles County Bicycle Coalition that encourages cycling, educates cyclists and motorists for safer streets, and advocates to make Culver City more bike-friendly.

Better Overland will protect cyclists 🚲 from vehicles 🚗 with a separated bike lane. It also brings shorter crossing distances for students walking 🚶 to CCUSD schools 🏫, upgraded ADA-compliant curb ramps, high-visibility crosswalks, and a pedestrian-activated signal 🛑 at the Julian Dixon Library 📚. The approved design keeps all four travel lanes and the center turn lane while improving safety for everyone. Election Day is almost here! Bike Culver City is excited to help you get out there and make your voice heard.

Here’s the plan:
TUESDAY, OCTOBER 20

THE RIDE 5:30 PM: Meet at CC City Hall to ride together! 🚴‍♀️💨

1st Stop: Culver West Alexander Park (Drop off your ballot in the Ballot Box at 6:00 PM)

2nd Stop HHH: 6:15 PM arrive at Alibi Room for happy hour!

💡 If you’re registered in LA County, you can drop off your ballot at any participating box!
This event is to SUPPORT the vote. Who or what you want to vote for remains your choice! We are not making any endorsements.

If you have already voted, please join us anyway to show your belief in Democracy and our fellow vulnerable and important road users!!

Bike Culver City feeder ride! ❤️🚲🌆

Meet at Ivy Station near Go Get Em Tiger Coffee Shop at 9:00 (when they start serving caffeine), rolling out at 9:30. (Don’t go to the Go Get Em Tiger near DTCC!!). We should arrive at CicLAvia (2nd and Figueroa) at 10:30 or so. We will follow a traditional route along Exposition (with a circle around the Lucas Museum), continuing north on Figueroa to 2nd.
Ride leader: Jon Riddle, Sweeper: Petra Staal

Locations Connected: Chinatown, Little Tokyo, Arts District, Boyle Heights, and Echo Park. The classic CicLAvia ride!

Fortunately, Sunday is forecast to be much cooler (a high of 75 degrees)

Sign waivers; helmets mandatory; no training wheels, please.

🎉 HUGE WIN FOR E-BIKE SAFETY IN CALIFORNIA! 🎉

CA has officially passed SB 1167, a bill that finally defines and regulates e-motos!

Parents deserve to know exactly what they’re buying! This bill ensures that families won’t accidentally purchase a high-powered, license-required, electric motorcycle for their kids thinking it’s a safe, regulated e-bike. ⚡🚲

We’re proud that Bike Culver City played a part in making this happen! 🙌 Earlier this year, we traveled up to Sacramento for the Cal Bike Conference to meet with our state legislators to advocate for this bill. Seeing our grassroots advocacy turn into real, statewide policy is an amazing feeling. 🏛️🚴‍♀️💨
