Every Elim student deserves a play space where they can thrive. With the help of our early, generous supporters, we’ve already built two new accessible playgrounds for our elementary students. But now we are building a brand-new, adaptable, accessible playground for our middle and high school students.

Do you remember the feeling when you first started high school? You could have felt nervous about finding out where your classes were or about meeting new classmates for the first time. Or you could have been excited at the prospect of starting something new and finding more opportunities to grow into the person God had always intended you to be.

We want to introduce you to Abigail, a current Elim student navigating her first year of high school. And while our school structures may look different, Abigail is still learning and growing in her own way – just like you once did.

Last Friday, we held our annual Learning Day, an agency-wide in-service centered around the theme “Driven by Purpose.” This special event brings together Elim staff from across all departments and serves as a meaningful reminder of our shared “why.”

Thank you to our inspiring speakers, Dr. Monique Flemings, Jenny Riddle, John Newton, and keynote speaker Shaquem Griffin, former Seattle Seahawks linebacker, for motivating and encouraging us in the work we do every day. And a MASSIVE thank you to the Learning Team who worked tirelessly to put on this amazing event for our staff.

If you joined us for our 5K this past Saturday, you might have noticed a new addition to our campus.

We recently unveiled a sculpture honoring Melissa Seefeldt, a former Elim student who passed away in 2019. Melissa brought so much joy to our campus, and her impact on the Elim community is still felt to this day. This sculpture, accomplished by the generosity of a small group of donors, honors her legacy and the new generation of students who come to Elim.

We were grateful to have Melissa’s family and friends on our campus as we remembered her life and celebrated the many people she touched during her time at our school.

Thank you to everyone who showed up and supported the 16th Annual Elim Eagles’ Wings 5K on Saturday. Because of you, we raised over $50,000! All of these proceeds will directly benefit the students and adults at Elim, and we couldn't be more grateful for the people in our community who came together to make this event such a success.
