The seasons may change, but the need for blood stays the same! Donating Whole Blood or Power Red is a great time to give back to hospital patients. Eligible donors with types O, B negative or A negative blood are encouraged to make a Power Red donation at this blood drive. Power Red donors give a concentrated dose of red blood cells during a single donation, allowing them to maximize their impact. Come give Dec. 16 thru Jan. 3 for a NEW long sleeved Red Cross T shirt, ltd. qty. Chill with us!

The need for blood is constant and only volunteer donors can fulfill that need for patients in our community. Nationwide, someone needs a unit of blood every 2 to 3 seconds and most of us will need blood in our lifetime.

Our blood drive is on Sunday, please make effort to come donate. The need is great, shortage of blood to help people who have been affected from recent hurricanes. An ample supply of blood needs to be available for all who depend on blood transfusions for health reasons as well as others who had accidents or surgeries.
Let’s help save lives, let’s continue to help those who depend on our compassion and generosity by donating now.
Sunday hours are 9am to 2pm
Please register and encourage family members,friends and colleagues to also join you in donating together!!!
**If you forget to register, or want to donate at the last minute or registration is full…. You may come in as walk-in we will accept you as long as you walk in the door 10minutes before 2pm.
JUST COME, every donation of blood will make a huge difference and is much appreciated.
As small token of appreciation every donor will receive a $10 gift card as well as entering in a $5,000 raffle!

Early voting in Illinois begins on March 4th.
Election Day is March 19th
Polls open at 6am and close at 7pm. As long as you are in line you will be able to cast your vote.
There are numerous locations that you may cast your ballots,all you need is your Drivers License or state ID.
Remember you have options of voting: Early voting in person, mail in ballot, on-line, absentee ballot and on Election Day.
We encourage everyone to exercise your rights to vote and your civic duty to help bring our voices, our issues, to serve our needs and needs of all fairly, equally, no matter which office it is. They must represent all their constituents.

Our 1st blood drive of 2024 is today Tuesday January 02. It’s from 12pm to 5pm. During the holiday season many hospitals experience having a low supply of blood due to greater need. Please come donate at HRF COMMUNITY CENTER so we can collect a large amount to be able to provide more blood. Patients are depending on blood transfusion to save their lives.
