Health Professions Students — This One’s for You!

Applications are NOW OPEN for the Florida AHEC Scholars Program, Cohort 9 (2026–2028)!
Build your skills beyond the classroom while connecting with other future healthcare professionals and gaining hands-on community experience. Scholars receive mentorship, national recognition, community-based service learning opportunities, and a $500 stipend each year.

The International Overdose Awareness Day (IOAD) Community Event is a free, family-friendly event that brings together community members, service providers, and local organizations to raise awareness about substance use, reduce stigma, honor those lost to overdose, and connect individuals and families with prevention, treatment, recovery, and support resources.
