During September, Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, I set a goal to keep my hands and heart busy by making 30 dresses in 30 days. The goal was met and exceeded. The final count is 37!
Each dress will be given to a young girl in a developing country, in honor and memory of Derick the Defeater. 💛

What began as a personal challenge became a way to turn love, remembrance, and creativity into something that can bring a little joy to a child who may have so little.

Thirty Seven dresses. Thirty days. One beautiful purpose: honoring Derick the Defeater by spreading kindness, hope, and love to girls around the world. 💕👗

💙30 Seatbelt Port Pillows have arrived in Maryland! They will soon be delivered by a Wrapped in Strength Project family to Children’s National Hospital in Washington, DC,

We are so grateful for the families who help carry this mission forward and bring comfort and a little extra love to brave kids fighting cancer. 🫶

Hello Wrapped in Strength Project (WISP) community! 💙
I’ve been a little quiet on here lately, but I’ve still been working behind the scenes!
Would anyone be interested in helping us get our Seatbelt Port Pillows into the hospital where your child is currently receiving—or has received—treatment?
We’d love for our WISP kids and parents to make this special delivery on our behalf, but we can also send the port pillows directly to the hospital.

If you’re interested, please let me know! You can either reach out to your hospital’s Child Life Specialist or In-Kind Donations department to see if they would be interested in having the seat belt port pillows available to give to patients, or simply send me their contact information and I’d be happy to reach out and ask.

Our hope is to get these seatbelt port pillows into the hands of the children and families who need them most. 💙 What better way to give back to the hospitals and teams who have been there for our WISP families?

Joy is not cancelled! 🩵💐🎗️🎀

Meet Blakely! She just celebrated her 5th birthday. She loves all things girly and is a sister to her 3 precious siblings. In March of last year she was diagnosed with T cell Lymphoblastic Lymphoma. For the last 13 months, her family has bravely fought childhood cancer with grace, hope, and a whole lot of love.

We were so honored to gift Blakely one of our custom OAF care packages- an opportunity to bring a smile while she undergoes treatment. It included a doll that looked like her, a dolly hospital gown from Derick the Defeater - Wrapped in Strength Project - WISP, port accessible pjs, and so many other fun goodies. It arrived at the perfect time as she was admitted to the hospital. While we realize a care package doesn’t cure. It doesn’t fix the hard or take it all away… a moment of joy can help heal.

This is your reminder today, that joy doesn’t have to end just because of a hard diagnosis, hard days, uncertain news, or hospital rooms. It’s still here… in the small moments, the quiet wins, the unexpected smiles.

Today, let this be your reminder to look for it.
To hold onto it.
To choose it anyway…. Joy is all around us and we will keep fighting for it… for all of Our Amazing Fighters. 💛
