Our club is diverse, its' members are from all sectors of business, government, military, healthcare, and community organizations. There are exciting things happening in Crestview Rotary, as a service organization, the projects we are working on will have a real-time impact on this community we serve. 🎉 What a fantastic Rotary lunch today! We were so grateful to welcome Tisha Melton, autism consultant with FSU’s Center for Autism and Related Disabilities (CARD), as our guest speaker.

Tisha shared how CARD supports individuals and families across the entire Florida Panhandle — from educational and workforce readiness services to behavioral support — for both children and adults on the autism spectrum. If you or someone you know is looking for guidance or struggling to find resources, CARD is here to help! 💙

Tisha also shared the great work she does with a local group home for teens here in Crestview, offering a nurturing environment as they prepare for work and school. They’re hoping to add outdoor recreational space — like a small playground — so the kids have room to play and be active. If you’d like to help make that happen, reach out!

Thank you, Tisha, for opening our eyes to the incredible services right here in our own backyard. We’re proud to call Crestview home to work like this! 🙏

Today, the Rotary Club of Crestview was proud to present Riverside Elementary School with a check for $1,000! 💵🏫

This is exactly why we do what we do. Every dollar raised through events like the Rotary Round Up goes right back into the heart of our community — supporting the schools, kids, and hardworking faculty who show up for our students every single day.

And this gift means even more: it brings Riverside one step closer to funding their new playground! 🛝 We can’t wait to see it come to life for the kids to enjoy for years to come.

🌟 What a special lunch meeting this week! We were honored to host our District Governor, Clayton Hicks, who joined us to share his Rotary journey.

Clayton spoke from the heart about how he first got involved with Rotary, the true power behind the service we strive to provide, and the incredible, historic work Rotary has done in the fight to end polio worldwide. His reflections were a powerful reminder of just how far-reaching our impact can be when we work together.

He also spoke beautifully about the camaraderie found within Rotary — the friendships and fellowship that make this organization so meaningful, not just for our communities, but for our own lives.

We left feeling grateful, inspired, and full of renewed energy for the service ahead here in Crestview this fall. 🍂

🌟 Service Above Self in Action 🌟

As we reflect on another year of service, the members of the Crestview Rotary Club are incredibly grateful for the opportunity to support and serve alongside so many outstanding organizations that are making a meaningful impact throughout our community and beyond.

Through member support, fundraising efforts, and hands-on service, we were honored to contribute to causes including Polio Plus, the Rotary Foundation, Rotary Youth Camp, Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA), the Baker School Interact Scholarship, the Crestview High School Interact Club, the Crestview Homeless Shelter, Crestview High School programs, local Food Pantry Thanksgiving efforts, Hope House, Cancer Freeze, Rotary Against Hunger, the Crestview Resource Center, Healing Paws for Warriors, Saving Grace, Dinner at Dad’s, third-grade Dictionary Projects, and support for the Northwest Florida State College Endowment Fund and First Generation Scholarship Program.

We were also privileged to roll up our sleeves and serve alongside our neighbors through activities and events such as the Christmas Parade, Fall Festival, RAM Medical Event, Rotary Against Hunger food packing events, Dinner at Dad’s, and a meal service at Rotary’s Youth Camp, among others.

Each organization, project, and service opportunity reminds us that real change happens when people come together with a shared commitment to helping others. While we are humbled to play only a small part in these efforts, we are deeply inspired by the dedication, compassion, and impact demonstrated by our community partners every day.

Their work fuels our passion to keep searching for new and meaningful ways to serve. It motivates us to invest in our youth, support families in need, strengthen our community, and live out Rotary's motto of Service Above Self.

To every organization, volunteer, donor, community partner, and Rotarian who has walked alongside us—thank you. We are proud of what we have accomplished together and excited for the opportunities ahead.

This week we were able to listen to Maura Ruiz of Safe Connections - Family Visitation Center! She shared their daily mission of providing a safe and nurturing environment to help reconnect children with nonresidential parents.

Maura gave us insight into how they operate daily and the great impact on people’s lives they have made during their time. She also shared some current donation needs they have like snacks for the kids, new indoor games, or IT and technology services! 🪀💻

Honoring our past and celebrating our future at Crestview Rotary’s Changing of the Guard dinner.
Our club came together for food, drinks, and plenty of laughter as we thanked our outgoing president and board for a year of dedicated service, and welcomed our new and returning board members for the year ahead.
We were proud to recognize Dale as our Rotarian of the Year and Asher from the Rotaract Club with the Service Above Self award.
To cap off the night, President Phillip officially passed the gavRotary District 6940resident, Willie, as we gear up for another great year of Service Above Self here in Crestview.

This past weekend was one for the books! 📚

We volunteered for the first Crestview Remote Area Medical (RAM) Volunteer Corps event. Over the weekend more than 350 people were registered to receive either medical, dental, or vision services at no cost to them. From a needed tooth extraction 🦷, to a new pair of prescription glasses 👓, RAM was able to lend a powerful hand to our community with over $267,000 in services!

Thank you to RAM, all of the medical professional volunteers, and to everyone who contributed to make this event happen. We look forward to their presence each year!

Shoutout to Eagles Nest for bringing us some great food to help us through the night 🌯🥪.
