Another season of trapshooting has wrapped up and it was another successful one for our group! Over the last couple months, these guys have tried out, practiced, and shot at five meets in the Area 7 South Trapshooting League. After the dust settled, Sherwood Black came out on top, earning Back-2-Back League Champions! Sherwood Red did well themselves, finishing in 6th out of the 15 teams competing! Great job to these teams!
Individually, we had 4 members finish in the top 10, which is the most we’ve ever had in the top 10 and they will be receiving individual plaques. Furthermore, every member finished in the top 44 out of 86 competitors in the league, a very solid accomplishment!
Those finishing in the top 10 were as follows:
Jr. Jed Jeffries: 3rd
Sr. Aiden Turner: 4th
Jr. Urijah Rooff: 4th
So. Cooper Swigart: 9th
Great job everyone and the future is still bright. They will break for the winter and compete at the District and State meets this spring at Linn Creek.
As always, special thanks to our sponsors this year! This is an expensive sport and we couldn’t have the success we’ve had without your help! If you see them around town, thank them for their support and support their businesses as well!
