Vegas said that she might be 30 years old but she still has it. This girl is happy and loved.

With the possibility of heavy rain and wind, everyone had to be shifted around to stay dry. They all quickly settled in, especially with treats and extra hay in their stalls! The boys were too busy playing in the rain to come in for a picture.
We pray everyone stays safe.

Update on Ms. Elsa, she had her follow up bloodwork appt with Dr.Cait at Countryside Equine Hospital last week. We are glad to report after her med and diet change her insulin came back down from over 220 to 26, the lowest its ever been. All of her other bloodwork looked great as well! Her plan moving forward is to slower back off her meds and recheck her levels in 30 days. Thanks to Dr. Cait for a treatment plan that is working and helping us adapt her treatments and diet. We will keep updating as her treatment progresses.

We have been focused on Elsa the past couple days and she got a much-needed makeover. She got body clipped, bathed and lots of hugs and kisses. It is easy to forget she is a paint. We absolutely adore this beautiful girl and there is nothing we would not do for her. Tomorrow, she has to go to Countryside Equine Hospital to recheck her insulin level. Praying it is back down where it needs to be.

Everyone is definitely enjoyiny the much deserved cooler weather. I know we have been quiet lately, I haven't felt the best health wise. We have decided not to have our Annual Open House this fall. If all goes well maybe next year.
On a good note Elsa will be doing pictures with Santa 2 days in November. One will be at Tractor Supply and the other at Countryside Animal Hospital. So keep an eye out for dates and time.

After a HOT week in the hayfields last week, we have enough hay stored to get all our guys through the winter. We dodged the late week storms and put right at 900 bales on the ground. We would like to thank everyone that helped in the field and barn that allowed us to finish before the storm!

Rowdy and Sully hanging out with the geese this evening. This heat is absolutely miserable. It is sad that they are still sweating this late in the evening. I know they are looking forward to Fall too.

Dr Caitlyn with Countryside Equine Hospital came out yesterday for 6 month vaccinations. Several of the horses were also due for their yearly coggins. We retested Elsa's insulin level and it was back up to 200 so she is back on meds to help get it back down. Otherwise everyone is doing great. Dr. Caitlyn and vet tech Destiny are so great with the horses. We couldn't ask for a better vet.

Our vet bill from yesterday isn$1,050.44. If you would like to help towards the vet bill it would be greatly appreciated.
