Be a part of Oconee's celebration of America's 250th birthday by entering a t-shirt design contest! Deadline is Feb 4 and everyone is encouraged to enter. Here are the details:
About the Contest
Oconee Celebrates America 250 invites students and community members to design an original T-shirt celebrating America’s 250th anniversary and Oconee County’s place in this historic moment. One or more designs may be selected to represent the official celebration and featured during the July 3, 2026 community event.
Who Can Enter
Entries are welcome in the following categories:
Elementary School (Grades K–5)
Middle School (Grades 6–8)
High School (Grades 9–12)
Adult Artist (Ages 18+)
One design per person.
Design Guidelines
Designs must be original work
Designs should reflect:
America 250
Oconee County
Community, history, or patriotism
Required text to include:
“Oconee Celebrates America 250”
Designs may be:
Hand-drawn and scanned
Created digitally
Color is encouraged; designs should work well on a T-shirt
What Not to Include
Copyrighted or trademarked images
Political campaigns or commercial advertising
Inappropriate or non–family-friendly content
How to Submit

Selection & Recognition
Designs will be reviewed for creativity, clarity, and connection to the America 250 theme.
Selected designers may:
Have their design printed on official event T-shirts
Be recognized during the July 3, 2026 celebration
Be featured in event promotions
Permissions
By submitting a design, participants grant permission for Oconee Celebrates America 250 to reproduce and use the artwork for event-related merchandise and promotional materials.
